Not impressed at all.. got the sampler and soup dumplings all tasted the same and not really traditional or good imo. Almost tastes frozen or reheated. All plastic utensils and everything too.

Was looking for a new spot to try and came across Dumpling Den. Honestly, great dumplings here. I went to Ugly Dumpling in Edison and can't be compared to this place. Definitely worth it.

The cuisine was passable. A few of the dishes, particularly the dumplings, had the texture of frozen food. When I observed a worker unwrapping a fresh bag of what appeared to be frozen dumplings, my suspicions were aroused. The menu's other items appear to be generally good. The plastic Tupperware containers they use to serve food are kind of cheap and inappropriate given the price I paid. Though I doubt it would be my first visit, I wouldn't mind going back.

I ordered at nine, 30 minutes before closing, and instead of getting sesame chicken (what I ordered), I got some scrap buffalo chicken WITH sesame sprinkled on top (they thought I wouldn't notice). I also ordered lo mein and they gave me frozen prepared food, it's maybe spaghetti they gave me!! Unbelievable quality that they dared to sell!! Why bother offer services if you lie to your customers!!

I had really high expectations for this spot but honestly I was disappointed:/ I'm only rating them 3 starts for their price and their dumplings. Dumplings are really good for what you are paying for. It's an authentic cute little spot. But always overcrowded and it's not sanitized well. Our table was oily and dirty when we sat down. We ordered a chicken meal and lomein with the dumplings but couldn't eat them. Overly oily, greasy, and garlicky. They just didn't taste good.

The atmosphere is really nice. I wish they served on dishes that weren’t plastic take out and paper plates. It took away from the experience. Other than that the place itself is very cozy! It’s clean and comfortable. The staff is soooo nice. There was an older gentleman there I think the owner maybe, he kept checking on us. When we left it was raining and he saw that we didn’t have an umbrella and came outside to ask if we wanted one. He was so very kind. Exceptional service. I will definitely be back. This place is definitely worth a try! I wish you lots of success!

Ordered for takeout. Ordering was easy and food was ready quickly. The person who took my order was patient and she was the same person who took my payment. Was very friendly. I got the mini pork belly bao and pork and crab dumplings. The star was definitely the dumplings. They were flavorful. The best texture was spot on, each dumpling held an adequate amount of soup, and the dumpling itself was slightly chewy but firm in how it needed to be. The bao I felt was a bit onion heavy and not enough sauce. The pork belly itself was divine. The bao was soft and airy and slightly sweet. Just the onion was overpowering.

Good deals on good food. Ordered takeout meal and was enjoyable. Really good chicken and broccoli as was their dumplings. Shrimp dish was only ok....nothing special. We'd go back again.

The food was okay. Some of the things served, especially the dumpling, felt like they could've been frozen. I first got suspicious when I saw an employee opening up a new bag of what seemed to be frozen dumplings. Other food on the menu seems fine overall. They serve your food on plastic Tupperware containers, which kinda just wrong and cheap for what I was paying for. I wouldn’t mind coming back, but if I had a choice, I don't think it would be my first.

First time here and I have to say I'm very impressed! Clean, friendly, and fast service here.We ordered the fried chicken dumplings, the chicken and shrimp soup dumplings, the wonton soup, and scallion pancakes. They all tasted great! The different sauces and chili oils were explained to us by the servers to use for each meal.Prices are good and today's economy is more than welcomed for an enjoyable meal! This place is a must try!

Overall, the experience of eating here was 3/5. All the food dishes are served on paper plates and Tupperware dishes. We had chicken soup dumplings, noodle soup, mini braised beef bao buns, and ½ crispy golden duck. The chicken soup dumplings were the star of the show; you are given 6 of them -- they are juicy and well-cooked. The ½ crispy golden duck could've been better by providing some greens like cabbage or green onions to help compliment the taste; however, it was still juicy and tasty on its own.

Yuckkkk I got beef baos and shrimp dumplings. The “braised” beef was solid, fatty, and really old looking it made all of us sick to our stomach just looking at it and each of us after taking a bite. The dumplings were flavorless. Expensive for what it is. Do not recommend at allll!

Stopped in for a quick dinner for one. The hallmarks of a small locally owned restaurant are there. Found decor, overstock tucked away under tables, a fridge with prepared food on the dining floor for convenience. This isn't a knock against them, it's part of its charm. I ordered the soup dumpling sampler, house dumplings, and salt & pepper squid. Everything came out piping hot and delicious. The dumplings were well filled and flavorful. The squid was well seasoned, crisp and tender. Their house made chili oil provides a great kick. The service was lovely all the wait staff were attentive and friendly. Will return again.
