Gayeon is an amazing and beautiful korean restaurant with dishes of one of the best in the state and New England! I highly recommend the Galbitang, Galbi, and Kimchijjigae when visiting, as their dishes will certainly blow you away with a taste like never before!!

I heard that lunch time was until 3 o'clock, so I went to eat alone a little after 2 o'clock. The atmosphere was classy and the interior was spacious and quiet, so I ate alone leisurely.I had a half meal of ribs and soybean paste stew. The meat was very tender, seasoned well, and very delicious. The soybean paste stew had plenty of meat and vegetables, and the soup had a deep flavor, unlike the typical soybean paste stew found at other restaurants. I was thinking about going to a nearby cafe, but I liked the soothing music playing. So, while I was leaving, I ordered Affogato and mini madeleines and ate them. I've been to a lot of restaurants around Portree and Pelpac to eat alone, but I think this is the best restaurant lately. Recommended ????

⭐️The food was so delicious...but there was no one to support me...?1. The atmosphere is pretty good2. Free 2-hour parking3. Food prices are quite expensive (I would rather go to Peter Luger.. $350~ 4 people)4. Even though it was Saturday, there seemed to be a lack of people in the kitchen.Barbecue fire pit ? not controlled. Even though the meat quality is good, it’s all worth it5. If possible, each person should only attend one table, but with multiple tables and multiple people grilling meat, there is a lack of consistent grilling service.6. Rather than blaming the waitress, the manager as a wholeIt didn't seem to work well.7. Appetizers, it feels like they are trying to compete with taste rather than quantity.Feeling a little lacking. It just looks like something.8. Since each bathroom is divided into one compartment, cleaning is not maintained.(Hard to open door)I think a restaurant would be fine as long as it tastes good, but...I hope it becomes a restaurant where you can make memories.

Sadly their service is now non existent and food is mediocre at the best. Shame that they can't bring them up to the par with beautiful place and location.

I usually don't write Google reviews, but I feel compelled to share my thoughts about this place. I consider it one of the best Korean BBQ spots for entertaining clients in NJ. The ambiance and food quality make it an ideal choice for business meals, setting it apart from others. While everything is generally satisfying, my recent experiences have been marred by one server. Despite visiting several times due to numerous appointments, the same middle-aged female server consistently disrupts the dining experience with her loud behavior. On one occasion, she loudly scolded a nearby table, creating an inappropriate situation. Despite trying not to let it bother me, it still made both me and my client feel uncomfortable. If the owner or manager happens to see this, I hope they address the issue promptly and ensure proper employee management to maintain the value of this establishment.

As soon as you walk into Gayeon, you're welcomed with an open air, modern feel with a large bar and open kitchen. The restaurant is not smokey like your typical Korean bbq restaurant might be. All of the food we had was excellent. For the appetizer, the Chicken Gangjung was large enough to share with 4 people and had a delicious sweet and sour sauce. For our BBQ selection, we got marinated galbi which came with a nice selection of bonchon (side dishes). Our server cooked the meat and veggies for us at our table and had polite conversation with us in the meantime. For our main dish, we had the bibimbap (no meat added) which was delicious. Gayeon's mushrooms are perfectly prepared. The combination of the airy modern ambiance, great service and large portion sizes, this restaurant is definitely worth the trip for a casual dinner or nice occasion.

I really hate this place. I was forced to come back because of my friends. This is the worst Korean restaurant I've ever seen. Why does it get worse every time I come?

Do you wish to win over some in-laws who are Asian? Alright, bring them here and declare the mission successful. Well, I did enjoy the tastiest Korean seafood pancake ever here, so that's not too awful. However, considering how many less expensive Korean restaurants are nearby—just a fifteen-minute drive away—perhaps this would be a nice spot to take your significant other on an annual anniversary?

Excellent food and service, very attentive and friendly, our server was helpful in choosing food and drink options Manager came to the table and asked if we were satisfied with everything and if there was anything that could use attention, recommended!

Came here for the Korean Barbecue Wagyu Special Set for 2 people. This is definitely enough food for us, two large selections of Wagyu plus banchan plus steamed egg and kimchi jjigae ~ first time here, will definitely come back! We've walked past this restaurant plenty of times but never noticed it until I scoured Yelp for a KBBQ place to satisfy my cravings! It sits across from the big iPic/Paris Baguette building and has complimentary garage parking. The space is large and airy, with a moody and cozy ambiance. The service staff is accommodating, knowledgeable, and friendly - he assured us that the wagyu was especially delicious tonight LOL. Tbh, we would mostly only come back for the A5 Kagoshima wagyu ribeye. It was so tender and melt-in-your-mouth buttery. Australian Wagyu Strip, unfortunately, left much to be desired :( It was flavorful and tender enough, however not sure if the cut was too thick or seared for slightly too long, but was more chewy than we'd have liked. Still not bad! If we were to come back next time, we definitely just want to get a la carte A5 plus try some of the hot appetizers :)

Came here for an event in the private front room and it was very well done. We had family style appetizers with some kind of spicy fried chicken dish which was delicious, and grilled shrimp and steak served with personal bibimbap and various side dishes and sauces. Dessert was ice cream with some crunchy chocolate toppings. The room was spacious and simple but stylish.

My family and I came here to celebrate our friend's baby first birthday. The party was seated at the side room by the entrance. The food was just okay. I feel like Korean cuisine is difficult to elevate to be modern and elegant. The service was excellent. Water was always full and clean plates were rotated. The alcoholic drink and mocktales were also really good. Typically, I would not dine here for a regular lunch or dinner. But, I'd would definitely have special events hosted here. Maybe not fantasy football drafts but that's doable too. Save yourself the aggravation and pay for parking at the garage.
