They are not in business any longer? Stopped by yesterday and there is kraft paper on the doors & windows and also a lockbox by the doors.......

Kocher's Market is a long-standing and well-established business serving northern New Jersey. Kocher's Market brings a bit of the old world to New Jersey by bringing European delights to this side of the ocean. As I stated, this is a European deli and butcher. Predominantly German, to be exact. It is a wonderful place for both doodies, Europeans who have relocated here, and people who just want to try something different. Their sausages are divine, as are most of the products in here. This is the kind of place that is super markets will never replace. Their attention to detail and to bring in the products that we not only demand, but love sets these type of places apart from supermarkets and makes them a vital parts of our communities. I would definitely recommend a visit to this establishment. Stop in and you will be impressed.

Always fresh items & clean store. Friendly/helpful staff. Prices are a little high, but quality is there. Recommend chicken cutlets, chopped chuck & cold cuts.

The one and only time that I came here was during covid! They were only doing orders over the phone, and you had to know what you wanted!!! Luckily, there were enough pictures that I was able to find online to be able to order some stuff. At that time I was on a kick to find Grobe Schmeerwurst. They have Forest Pork Store brand, which I like, so I was happy. Sadly most of the other items that they had on their deli list were not available... It was right at the beginning of covid when everyone was having trouble sourcing items. We got some salami, which I enjoyed. We got some bratwursts which we really enjoyed. I also got a few chocolates which we also really liked. We didn't get anything that we did not like! One day I hope to be able to walk into the store and do some real shopping haha! I will say that the person that took my order over the phone was very friendly!!! And getting there, you weren't allowed inside, you had to call it in and pay them via credit or hand them your money out the window... All in all, this is a great German butcher!!! I cant wait till the next time that we are nearby and actually go inside.

So sad to visit after a long time. I went for one little craving. "Peanuts" now called cocktail Frank's. DISCUSTING! Totally not the same recipe. The displays were barren. What the hell happened?

What a disappointment. I have been a customer of Kochers since 1997, but did not visit the store for the past 8 years. The store is nothing in comparison it was back then. It is half empty, sad looking, without the decorations they used to have. But most upsetting, the variety of meats and sausages is so poor. I asked for Weißwurst but was told they ran out of it. Ok, the Maultaschen they used to sell, -not any longer available. The other sausages looked sad and the Leberkaes had a less than appetizing gray-green color. I did buy a few German candies but noticed later that 2 of them were already past their expiration date and tasted very stale :(I know the original family sold the store and there is new ownership, but it’s sad to see how this place declined in almost everything.

Places like this are special as not many exist anymore. Amazing dog and brat. Plus, great mustard selection We had a great day but there is something that needs to improve!

BEST jalapeño hot dogs I have ever had. So of course I had to pick up some curbside when I saw they were open. I called when I was in the neighborhood and within a few minutes the owner had come out and placed a dozen dogs in my trunk. No contact. Quick, easy, safe and delicious. Ok her is a staple at all bbqs for my family.
