Party of 4 by the window greeted by Sybol who treated us like family. Also Andrew our Server was exceptional giving us suggestions. I love customer service and the food was delicious and the view? It's waterfront ! I hope I'm able to go back soon

We had dinner here tonight and the food, service staff, atmosphere and Syboll (the owner) were amazing! There were so many wonderful personal touches throughout our dining experience, the food was incredible (one of the best meals that I’ve had in a long time), the sunset was picturesque, our server Andrew was so attentive and gracious…. I highly and happily recommend!!!!!

Myself and my daughter had a fantastic time here. 42 years and I have never ate at the Charlesworth Hotel & Restaurant. The experience was one of a kind. Living only 10 minutes away at that. From the time of being greated by Syboll, one of the owners until the moment we left was perfect! I highly recommend that if you have the extra money go there and make some life memories. You will not regret it.

We ate here on Easter Sunday and we were so glad we decided to make reservations here. Syboll, the owner made us feel so welcome. The food was phenomenal, and the atmosphere was perfect! We had such a great time that I recommended my boss come here and he is excited to try it. We will definitely stay over next time and can't wait to go back! Highly recommend checking them out. You won't be disappointed!

We had a large group and we ate at the restaurant. Most of us were from out of state. We were grateful to have met the chef to thank him personally. Everything was good. The vibe, the food, atmosphere and service. I had the crabcakes. Very good.

Immediately as we pull up it's hard to ignore the beauty of the location. I mean the stunning sunset to start our dining experience truly set the stage for what was to come. We all ordered appetizers, soups, specials and dessert and wished we could conjure more stomach space to eat more. Of course we all forgot to take pictures of our meals until dessert when Syboll kindly reminded us to! And thank goodness he did because we would hate for all of the detail in the presentation to go to waste! Everything was absolutely fantastic. Yes the view was breathtaking and the food was delectable, but the true heart and soul of the Charlesworth is Syboll. There is absolutely no dining experience like this. He creates a meal and experience that cannot be replicated, similar to the man himself. He is delightfully enigmatic and so is his restaurant. It is purely puzzling to see such a distinctively excellent establishment so empty. We were one of only 3 tables for the night. Experiences like this do not come often; I would rank this as a top tier dining experience as Syboll has masterfully blended the superb flavors of high quality dining with the cozy familiarity of your favorite hometown diner.

Stayed here last labor day weekend for my birthday and it was a great experience. We had the room with its own bathroom and having a corner room gave us amazing views of the water and the sunset. When I first glanced at the reviews and I saw someone say it was the best restaurant in South Jersey I laughed. I was expecting a casual beach vibe but boy were we wrong. this is fine dining and everything we ordered was phenomenal. my friend ordered the tomato side and I never knew tomato could taste so good. This place is truly a gem. This year I will be staying in an airbnb around the corner but very much looking forward to eating here again for my birthday dinner. this place is definitely worth it. best restaurant in South Jersey? quite possiblyFood & drinks: be advised it is BYOB so buy your bottle of wine before coming into townNoteworthy details: a sunset view to die for

I was excited to try this out-of-the-way spot for my birthday, but the Hotel Charlesworth knocked my socks off. I had fried oysters for an appetizer, which were crunchy outside, sweet and tender inside, and came with a spicy remoulade. My pork chop was unassailably perfect: juicy, slightly pink (as it should be), with a memorable crust and apple topping. I am not one for dessert unless I'm sharing, but the key lime pie is canonical. My wife's ribeye has ruined her for my modest talent with a grill. The service was casual but professional, and the host most welcoming. You can get away with jeans and a ballcap, but most diners treat the Hotel as a classy affair. This remote corner of southern New Jersey hosts an ineluctable treasure.

Our First experience at the Charlesworth Hotel-Restaurant was one I’ll never forgot . I’ll start with the service the owner is very generous attentive and friendly to all his customers , the ambience was warm and comfortable .Now the food the owner /waiter recommended a number of dishes to try he walks we a little bit of everything for us to try lobster Mac and cheese , stuffed shrimp , and stuffed crab shrimp .For our Entree Naji got the pork chop with caramelized apples and onions served with spinach and mash potatoes . Annnnd I Got the Pasta Primavera with roasted peppers and onions spinach and cheese. My stomach was about to explode ? but wait there’s more ! Dessert .. another asortment of options chocolate mousse , cheesecake with cherries that have been imported from Paris etc but there was one that stood out and it was a key lime pie ? We our both stuffed until tomorrow night lol but I highly recommend this restaurant 5 stars ⭐️

Best helpful hint is remember this is BYOB. We celebrated my Birthday at Charlesworth Restaurant at the end of summer. As we walked around to the Bayside entrance the sun was setting. The view is stunning. Inside, the Charlesworth is a step back in time with live piano music lightly filling the background. Our party of seven shared appetizers of Oysters Rockafeller, Lobster Mac & Cheese, Tuna Tartare and a Bisque Soup. I highly recommend the Tartare. I had the NY Strip which was cooked to perfection. It was heated throughout while still remaining a juicy medium rare. Everyone loved their entree's as well. We had no room for dessert but that didn't deter us. My husband loves Creme Brule which he insisted I taste as he described it as one of the best he had. For seven people, because there were no alcohol charges, the price seemed reasonable comparing to places with similar menus. This is a special place to visit. The staff are great, the owner is welcoming and the piano player just takes it to another level.
