This place has gone downhill. My food was definitely old, smelled rancid and there was a lack of seasoning, very strange taste.

One of my favorite Caribbean food spots in AZ. Very authentic, from the beverages to the dishes. I've tried all the staples, j*** chicken, fish , Pattie's, you name it. Highly recommend you can't go wrong

So have your ever heard of the expression running on Island time?! Because you for sure have to call ahead to place your order. I recommend at least 45 minutes before pick up and be prepared to wait another 10 when you get there lol But honestly it's totally worth and we happily do this every time!! You can tell the food is freshly made. Prior to COVID, we have sat inside to eat and we always called beforehand so it can be ready. We recently went back and looks like you can still eat inside but we decided to pick up their lunch special of J*** Chicken with rice and sweet plantains. This dish is still soooo bomb but was lacking a bit of the sauce the J*** Chicken usually has but we devoured it either way! We always hit this spot up when we are craving so good Caribbean Food. The oxtail is also good but I always get the J*** Chicken!

We have going to this restaurant for years! You can always depend on the food to be excellent. The prices are reasonable. The owners of the restaurant are really great.

I ordered a goat roti.. the menu says $8.70 but when I went to pick up my order I was charged $12.80 and the container was more bones than meat. I asked for the manager and was told that she’ll b out for the weekend (it’s Thursday). I understand prices change but the portion size and quality should reflect it. I asked the employee why she didn’t mention the price change when I called to place my order and she couldn’t offer me an answer. I feel scammed. I accepted the food because I have a limited amount of time for lunch but I most definitely need answers from management.

This review is not meant to be malicious but rather a teaching moment. Far too often we take our own people for granted and then when our own people stop supporting Black owned business due to poor experience we are made to feel guilty.....My family and I (11 people in total) made reservations at De Island Breeze on Saturday, August 8th to celebrate a family member birthday. Imagine how excited everyone was as we were all quarantined due to Covid 19 and have not seen each other in several weeks. The weather was amazing, it was a beautiful evening. Upon my arrival at 8:00p, the table was setup outside the restaurant. There were other patrons dining outside and the DJ was sampling some oldies music lol. Majority of our party arrived between 8:30-8:45 (typical yardie). The ONE Server for our table did not take our orders until 9:22. At this point we did not have any drinks or water on the table. We attempted to order our drinks from the "Host" but she kindly let us know that the Server would be out in a few minutes. As we sat there parched, dinner was not served until 10:25, then the Server took our drink orders which was another disaster. She actually brought out 1 (ONE) drink at a time. She appeared to be confused as she did not write down our orders. My dinner was luke warm...the portion was small and the food did not taste as good as my 2 prior visits. I ordered curry chicken, rice and peas and cabbage. I thought the cabbage was potato salad as it was very white in color and did not have the consistency of cabbage. Strangely, there was a whole potato the size of my fist plopped on top of the curry chicken like a topping on a ice cream cone, I guess that was suppose to make up for the small portion of chicken on my plate (LMAO). The rice and peas did not taste freshly made, quite frankly it was disgusting. Observation: It appeared that the one Server was our chef and bartender who was very nice but lack concentration and the basic customer service skills necessary to serve a party of eleven people. Despite everything we tried to make the best of the night but overall it was a very poor dining experience. You guys no ready YET!!!!!

This spot simply knows how to treat their clients. Regularly with a helpful approach. The food is reasonably priced, constantly flavorful and clean.

I've eaten here for years but i'm never going back because there was hair in my food, a very long strand mixed into the food. It wasn't my hair because my hair is cut very short. I won’t be coming back to this establishment.

Excellent customer service, always remember my face when I order. I had been eating here for over 20 years, when they was on Hamilton St. and they was a small little shop. The Food is ALWAYS good, I only trust their Ackee & Saltfish. Since their closed right now because of this Pandemic, I'm suffering! I don't eat anyone else..?? I love you Island Breeze! ??? Can't wait until y'all back up.
