My first time trying Sophie's Bistro. It definitely won't be my last. What can I say, you get what you pay for, and dining here is well worth it. From the moment you walk in you feel right at home. The service and menu selection is amazing. The decor is inviting and cozy. The food is perfection, be prepared to clean your plate. The owner came over to introduce himself and to make sure the dining experience and the food was what we expected. I highly recommend dining here, once you do, you will want to go back to try all of the other delicious entrees.

Sophie’s Bistro is not far from our house and we treat ourselves to this wonderful restaurant a few times a year. The food is amazing. The service is great and it’s really a pleasure to dine here. They also make a fantastic Harvey Wall Banger.

Sophie's was a delightful find! As soon as we stepped in, we felt we were in a homey French bistro. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and efficient. Definitely want to go back and try out other menu items!

I stop here whenever I'm visiting from out of town. Had another nice meal. You won't find better French food anywhere. Pate, salad and mussels.... All done right. And this time around, I used one of the mussel shells as a pincer to grab the meat from the other Shells..... just as they do in France. The owner was kind enough to show me this trick on a previous visit. Great place!

Update to yesterday's update: The Superior Court Judge in my party called to advise me to cancel my credit card altogether and not just "unfreeze" it because this manager, Deb, displayed behavior affirming that she cannot be trusted, and perhaps she would find something to charge me for that was unjustified. It's alarming to think my credit card information is not safe in their hands. Be aware before you give them a credit card to hold ANY reservation. End of story.

The atmosphere is out of this world good. It’s a great place for a quiet conversation over delicious food and amazing drinks. The service is excellent. You will be very happy.
We came for the mussel fest. About 7 different flavors to choose from. Only about a week and half left to enjoy this. Fantastic!!!!! Also traditional onion soup is outstanding. Staff is very attentive! Expensive but worth it.

Lovely spot for French bistro fare. Service was really warm and friendly and the place has a nice relaxed vibe. Dishes were very solid and well portioned even if certain elements may have evolved from the very traditional spirit of the dishes. Overall had a great time and wonderful meal and will certainly look to return.

First time trying this restaurant out and sadly it will most definitely be my last. Overpriced, terrible/rude service, incredibly slow. To top it off, food was nothing to write home about.

The food here is the best value French food in NJ. It is delicious and well worth the price. The vol-au-vent Champignons appetizer was my favorite highlight, but it took nothing away from their excellent cocktails or delectable potato au gratin. The protein for the entrées could use a little work as my table asked for medium rare for all of our meats, but everything came out a little closer to medium. All the desserts were delicious and assured that I'd come back again! Make sure to bring cash to save 3%.
