I ordered to be cooked normal and it tastes raw. The crust is wet and uncooked. I ordered extra sauce which was put in crust and it pours right out when picked up. Needs to be cooked. Plus doordash did not deliver according to my instructions. Disgusting. No taste and i even got cheese filled crust. Awful. Would not

New Location - Poorly run - mediocre tasteI used to order Papa John’s often in the 1990s & early 2000s. I decided to order for the first time in years. New location opened up & they mailed out coupons. They wouldn’t honor the coupon. Said it is no longer valid. Just got it a couple days ago in the mail. I ordered something else. Kicker is once in the store, they are passing out the same coupons on the counter that he said was no good. When I pointed that he said those were no good either. Then why pass them out? I’ll tell you. GOOD OLD FASHIONED BAIN AND SWITCH. Either way, when I got home I was excited to bite into my pizza pie & relive the taste of my childhood. Disappointment! Mediocre taste. Sauce is horrible. Cheese is just ok. What I can promise is I will not go back! Even if it was $3 a pie, it does nothing for me taste wise. I’ve had better frozen pizza. I’ve had better pizza at some roadside dive place in nowhere Kentucky. To anyone reading this review….stick with the local mom & pop pizza joints! Leave this place where it belongs…some nasty food court in a train station somewhere. What a let down!

This is a tan new location after years of not having Papa in the neighborhood. Already tried all my original favorites and nothing seems to have a real problem. However, I took a star off for poor comparison on price/quality for other pizza places in close proximity. Even direct competitor that undercuts by few bucks on every item seems to be a better deal overall. While premium one-off places might be 2x as expensive but deliver on major quality upgrade. Either prices need to drop or ingredients got to improve. I will order few different pies just to confirm my observations.

We love papa John's when we lived in Jersey city. It was so delicious. We were so excited when one opened in Freehold. But it was a disappointment. Pizza was so doughy. Didn't taste good as we remember. We order The Work large pie. Kids said no more. Told me to stick with dominoes. Wings was good but really small. Philly papadilla was ok but not enough filling. Won't be ordering anytime soon.

Ordered from this place last Sunday for lunch. Very first time trying Papa John's. The slogan lived up to its name: better ingredients, better pizza, Papa John's. Place opened not too long ago. Absolutely recommend. Can we get a Little Caesar's in the area now?
