Food was awesome. Service was amazing. The valet took up most of the parking spots and no one was using it. This was unnecessary and annoying.

I'm a huge fan of steak house restaurants and I've been wanting to go to this restaurant for over two years. I don't live near the location, so when I finally had the chance to go I was so excited. We were a party of two on a Sunday evening. Firstly, I want to say the place is beautiful and the ambience is lovely. The restaurant was not crowded at all. It was actually pretty empty. There was no wait for our table. We sat in the back near the water. Service was decent. I was completely underwhelmed with my meal. I got an 8 oz filet and mashed potatoes as well as a cesar salad to start. My steak had no flavor, like zero...so I needed to add salt and it was marbled with fat which I'm not a fan off I am also a well done girly (I know, I know...lol) but my steak was defiantly medium well. Filet is my favorite cut of meat and I was disappointed. My potatoes were decent tasting, but had more lumps than I would have liked. Cesar salad was ordinary but a decent portion. Enough for two possibly even three people as a starter to share. My companion ordered the buffalo shrimp with the sauce on the side well done and steak fries. When the shrimp came out the sauce was on them and we had to send them back. When the new order came out the shrimp were not well done. The waiter apologized however, I was surprised no manager came over to offer an apology. With fine dining I would expect this. It wasn't a bad experience, we just have no desire to return.

I went to the ChopHouse for the first time last night. It was a business dinner and I am really not a “ steak” person. Well, dining at this restaurant has shown me what I’ve been missing. Everything was excellent. I had the dry aged NY strip with a Kona rub and it was phenomenal. The seared crust on it was amazing and it was so delicious. It has made me a steak lover. I also had the opportunity to have the Brussels sprouts which were the best I’ve ever had. The truffle fries, mushrooms, blackened shrimp, creamed spinach and calamari ( which I don’t even like but was so good!) The portions of the apps and accompaniments were big enough that we could share between 6 people. Is it on the pricy side? Yes. But the portions were good and the food was excellent. I can’t wait to go back. The service was great as well.

I’ve been to the chop house many times over the years for special occasions as it’s a very pricey restaurant. That said I never minded paying the extra money as the quality of the food was and key word “was” amazing. Our waiter was amazing and the service at the front of the house was great. However the Kitchen fell very short on execution. I had Divers scallops that were not properly seared and looked like two of them were cut in half to stretch the ingredients which is unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliber. I also don’t believe they were fresh scallops as they also lacked the sweetness and proper sear and that golden brown that you usually get with what’s called a dry scallop. That said my one adult son ordered a top cut of meat and ordered it medium rare. It came out a touch under well done and the one thing I expect a very expensive steak house to get right us the temp on a quality piece of meat. I asked the waiter if he thought it was cooked right and he immediately sighed and said definitely not. He then rushed it back and then came out with another cut of meat and instead of it being mid rare it was completely rare any less it would have been raw. It had a hard sear. My son was frustrated and ate some of it and said he didn’t want to wait any longer for them to get it right. My daughter ordered the lobster mac and cheese and there was barely any lobster in it. I saw other recent reviews with similar complaints but didn’t believe it and thought maybe it was an isolated incident. At this point going out for my birthday I rather stay home and cook my own steak and other food as I can pick out better ingredients and cook a steak better with my eyes closed than this experience. I will not be returning. Also the patio area has a great view but it’s very noisy especially since your near an outside bar as well. I could barely hear my children trying to talk to me and that is what eating with family is all about. The company of friends and family. The only reason I have it two stars is because of the great wait staff and the beautiful building and view. Also ordered the Crème brûlée and it was also disappointing. It didn’t have enough sugar to get true hard candied top. Again even my kids can make a better one and they have. Also with tip it was 250 dollars no alcohol and one of the entrees was for my young daughter which was an appetizer.

The Chophouse offers an upscale dining experience with some hits and misses. While the portions are smaller, as expected from a fancy restaurant, not all dishes deliver in taste. The filet mignon was underwhelming, but the Atlantic halibut stole the show with its unique sauce, making it a standout recommendation. The steak did not come with any sides, while the halibut did. For those unfamiliar with this place, here are some things to keep in mind... The side dishes are a la carte, meaning you pay for them separately. So do not expect anything to come with your entree unless specified. Two, the restaurant enforces a casual business attire dress code. So save yourself the embarrassment and opt for a nice collared shirt and khakis instead of your tattered jeans and hoodie. They will appreciate it (and so will your date). And three, reservations are highly recommended. This place is trendy during peak hours, so pick a time (preferably right when they open) as you're more likely to get the table you desire. The ambiance, especially when seated by the window overlooking the lake at sunset, adds significant value to the dining experience. During quieter hours, such as early Sunday evening at about 4 pm, when we went, the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, allowing for a pleasant dining experience. The staff was great, from the hostess to our server, Ryan, who provided excellent service and was accommodating throughout the meal. We enjoyed the sherry-roasted mushrooms as a side dish and indulged in the lemon sorbet for dessert, rounding off the experience. Our total was around $120. So, while the overall cost was higher (or standard for a place like this), the combination of ambiance, service, and standout dishes makes this steakhouse worth considering for a special occasion or a peaceful evening meal.

Just okay. Quite expensive and most sides are a up charge. This is one I would pass. Trendy place with a service that's less desirable. Save your money and get a nice meal at Charlie Brown's.

I'll start with the good, since it outweighs the bad.First time at The Chophouse. I've been wanting to check it out since forever and finally got a chance over the weekend. We made reservations and were seated within minutes. The restaurant is beautiful with views of a lake - very nice for special occasions. The entire staff, from the valet attendants, hostesses, bartenders up to the wait staff are top-notch. Our waitress was Jen and she was excellent, attentive and personable. So far so good.I chose the 14oz. dry-aged steak because it was a special occasion and I had never had it before. I read that dry-aging makes the meat tender and very flavorable.Well, they got the flavorable part right. But tender it was not. In fact I'd say it was one of the toughest steaks I've ever had. I needed to slice it into thin strips just to chew it. Very disappointed. Also, know in advance that the steak doesnt come with any sides. Luckily I ordered the lyonnaise potatoes, which are basically home fries, and werent cooked completely - some were crunchy. My wife's scallop dish tasted delicious, as was our appetizer. My smoked old-fashioned was very good, as were the wines and beers.I will give The Chophouse another chance but I won't be ordering the dry-aged steak again. A shame.

I mean, you can't beat the environment you can't beat the ambience... drinks are good and the service is always spectacular.. but they have to step it up with the food.. simple things like the bake potatoes made hours before I ordered it . The broccoli tasted like it came out of the steamed bag “no sauté know nothing.” pork chop was average and her steak was over cooked a bit but again the environment is fantastic. We had a great time.

What can I say? It's The Chophouse. IYKYK Staff is amazing. Food is delicious. The ambience is great for a date night. We decided to go last minute so I was dressed very casually. I still felt comfortable and was treated like I had on black tie apparel.

The drinks were good. I enjoyed our appetizers (burrata and tuna tartar). The steaks, however, were a disappointment. We both got the dry aged ribeye and ny strip (Kona crusted). We ordered both medium rare. The ribeye was medium-medium well. The ny strip was med rare, more towards medium. The steaks were incredibly dry and hard to chew. For a steakhouse, the steak was the worst part of the meal. We got dessert too which tasted like a pre-frozen cake. The ambience is an upscale sports bar. Our waitress was not very attentive and the other staff were constantly trying to take out plates before we were done eating. It wasn't crowded when we went either. Overall disappointing. Expensive for the meal we were provided and experience we got. Will not be returning.
