Outstanding! Everything you would want in a roadside hot dog stand. The people are super nice. Got the regular dog, which is a boiled turkey dog which, frankly, doesn't sound too good to me. However, I got it with chili and cheese and it was darn tasty. Can't speak to what it would be like plain. Got the fryer dog which was very nice. Cross-hatch slits in the dog and was nice and crisp. The fries were very well fried and seasoned. Excellent side and you get an absolute ton of them. Great fast food fries. Don't let the naysayers sway you. Im not sure what their expectations were but this is a great roadside hot dog stand and Iwill definitely be back again and again.

Great hotdogs. My hotdog bowl with cheese and french fries was amazing.The constant clanging lid to the pot that holds the hotdogs is enough to drive you freaking nuts though.Just enough seats so you wolf down your foodParking is tough during peak timesHearing the old guy behind the counter, constantly yell at his staff was unnecessary

2nd time here.We have driven by this place hundreds of times. Finally stopped here a few months ago when Hot Dog Johnny's were on vacation. What a gem. Me and the Mrs had the fried hot dogs and fries..Both were cooked perfectly and delicious. The owner explained the 2 types of dogs and several types of fries. 2 great experiences and will be stopping back soon. They have a great menu besides the terrific hot dogs!

Stopped in today for the first time after living in this area for 10 years. It was great. Fryer dogs with mustard and kraut, and a fryer with mustard onion and hot sauce. Fries are done perfect. Shoestring style. Owner introduced us to Jersey Jerk topping. All good stuff

We are new to the area but have enjoyed the food and atmosphere more then a few times. The service is always tremendous. I went there today to enjoy a few of their delicious burgers and fries. Turns out I was light on cash. They graciously and generously served me the fries free of charge!!! This is just a small indicator of the type of people who own and operate this Glen Gardner treasure. Do yourself a favor, if you are new to the area or just passing thru make sure to pop in Hot Rods. You and your taste buds will not be disappointed!!!!!!

The new owners don't do as good of a job as Rod did when he owned it. The fries taste like dirty grease and the hot dogs are the cheap ones.
Update 3/20/24 - my initial review was actually for the previous grumpy owner. I will leave this here for you to see and I'll remove it so it doesn't negatively impact the new business. Best of luck to you.
