I was looking forward to trying Fitzgerald’s. Unfortunately, I experienced the most amount of sexism I’ve ever had at a restaurant, which is pretty stunning and really not how I wanted my Friday evening to go. It felt like a bad episode of the 1950s. I was treating my partner to dinner and tried to pay in cash. I provided a $100 bill to cover the cost and asked our waitress to use that to cover the cost of the meal and provide me the change. Instead of providing the change, our waitress returned confused and gave us a set of $20s and tried to clarify with my male partner - even though I was the one handing the cash and had been speaking with her directly. I even interjected at one point to say I was the one paying. Then she returned to our table and, again, instead of providing the change, she threw down a couple $20s and the wrong amount of coins and said, “I don’t know what you want. I’m busy with other tables.” I was pretty shocked at that point - I literally just wanted to pay in cash, get the difference, and allocate her tip from the change. When I spoke with the male host about my experience, even though I was making direct eye contact with him and told him how I tried to pay, the host turned to my male partner to offer a complimentary cocktail. It felt like a bizarre episode of the 1950s. I told the host that the experience quite frankly sucked and that I wouldn’t be returning.

This was on my list to visit and I was able to do so today. I had dinner there and the steak was good but wish it came out warmer... I think it was waiting for my friend's salmon to be cooked as her food was hotter. The mash potatoes was hot though. The espresso martini was good definitely deserves a return. Service was absolutely excellent. Mauricio was pleasant, personable, and charming also funny.Overall lovely place I would return to, for sure..maybe they have brunch I'll need to check but then again maybe not as it opens at 4 pm.Parking: There is a parking lot but it doesn't look huge and it's across the street from the establishment.. You can do street parking I don't believe I saw any meters.

Delicious, Delicious, DELICIOUS! We stopped by prior to a show at the Wellmont and I am so glad we did. The food was well prepared and the portions were more than enough. Dont miss out on the Eggplant Tower or the White Pizza here. Staff were friendly and attentive.

What a special hidden gem! Quaint, nostalgic, fantastic food and even better service!
We hosted our shower here today...highly recommend!!! It's right near the train station which was great for our friends from the city, food was great, Kelly our waitress was amazing, and everyone was very accommodating. Very happy with our event, thank you! Lots of parking too

Just a nice, comfy place, off the beaten path, great pub food menu, friendly service and good drinks. It's not a big place, there is a bar, so it can get noisy, even on a weekday night. Generous portions of food, burgers are pretty good and the house pinot grigio is one of the better ones I've had lately.

What a terrific little neighborhood restaurant I don't even want to write a review because it's a perfect little gem. In fact, the only little gym in Glen Ridge, friendly bar, service, delicious, salads, burgers sandwiches everything is cooked and fresh. They also have a party room in the back we both had the meatloaf. It's a big portion. We ended up taking it home also had a wonderful appetizer. It was big the food portions Are big, so definitely go hungry had a nice black and tan at the bar and hit the spot and then a nice Irish coffee to end the evening. The bartender was friendly and very accommodating and the place was getting busy we went during the week I suspect you may need reservations on the weekends.

Been coming to Fitzgeralds since it opened and the menu changes are new and exciting. Tried the sloppy joe sandwich and it was like the one my Mom would make, delicious!!!They even were nice enough to split it in 2 so we could share. Fries were crispy (also split them). Pizza choices are good and there are always a few good specials available.Come here for the ice cream too (nastos in Newark i think? )Service is amazing, We try to get Mauricio!Plenty of parking available and good selection of drinks. Bartenders make some nice drinks. Good noise levels, lots of families, couples and friendly people, a fantastic atmosphere all around. Consistency is important and we always find that here. Highly RecommendedParking: Plenty of parking
