Tranquility General Store is a great place for breakfast or lunch. The food is just beyond amazing and Chris always gives my 2 year old a little treat snack. In a world dominated by fast food and chain stores, this place is refreshingly original.

The campground where I'm spending this summer was abuzz about the breakfast and sandwiches at this place so we decided to try it. We were a bit surprised when we walked in because it was messy and boxes were on some of the tables. We were going to get takeout, but my son said let's eat here. We ordered a couple of Jersey sandwiches and the sausage biscuits and gravy. It was amazing. The portions were huge and delicious. We came back the next day for sandwiches for lunch. The roast beef sub must have had a pound of meat on it. Definitely going back.

Such a great place to stop for morning coffee or breakfast sandwiches. Everyone is so friendly and they remember your name. Frequented by locals and cyclists enjoying the beautiful Pequest river, swans swimming by the bridge and views of the historic Tranquility Mills in the background.
