I discovered Bon Koko Ice accidentally when my sister's friend gifted us a blueberry loaf. I couldn't believe it was vegan!!! This has to be the most delicious vegan loaf I have ever eaten in my entire life. It is light, moist, and packed with fresh blueberry and lemon flavor. Their ice cream is pretty damn delicious too although I only sampled it. This place is definitely a must-try and a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

Amazing vegan ice cream in Guttenberg!I recently had the pleasure of trying Bon Koko, a vegan ice cream shop in Guttenberg, NJ, and I was blown away! I'm not vegan, but I was impressed by the quality and flavor of their ice cream. They have various flavors, and I had difficulty deciding which ones to try. I ended up trying coconut pistachio crunch, yes!!! You read that well - coconut and freaking pistachio, you!. Also, blueberry crumble and strawberry shortbread and they were freaking delicious… rich and creamy and with big chunks to add dimension and crunch; these ice creams have character!!!I also loved that Bon Koko is a small, family-owned business. They were very friendly and helpful, and they were happy to give me samples of everything they had and answer all of my questions.If you want a delicious and unique ice cream experience, I recommend checking out Bon Koko!

Everything I tasted (and I tasted a LOT!) was delicious and that it was vegan and some with added super healthy sea moss made it even better. That was a very pleasant surprise — actually enjoying something with sea moss. My 6 year loved many flavors of her “ice cream” even more than she loved the bright tropical atmosphere, and the exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable owners. The frozen delicacies traveled very well home to NYC and was consumed quickly, so we will be back!Vegetarian options: I’m not a vegetarian I loved everything!

Amazing smoothies, refreshing ice pops (lollies♡), fresh baked cookies & banana bread, sea moss gels, fresh pressed plant based milks, sorbets and of course the vegan ice cream, so delicious and thoughtfully curated with all natural, organic, vegan ingredients in flavors like coconut pistachio crunch, ginger cookie, banana nut crunch, toasted coconut, blueberry crumble, strawberry shortcake, vanilla bean and of course a rich decadent classic chocolate ice cream that satisfied my chocoholic husband's sweet tooth.? But an establishment is only as good as it's owners and Sam and Christian are the absolute best, friendliest, the funniest most genuine shop owners and they've quickly become staples in the community.? Do yourself a favor and give them a visit, support local small businesses!???????Vegetarian options: All VEGAN options?Dietary restrictions: I have no dietary restrictions but this shop makes their ice cream and all other offerings from all vegan organic ingredients.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly, my kids loved the ice cream even though they wouldn't typically choose vegan ice cream. If you're vegan, you'll love Bon Koko! It's a fantastic spot with amazing vegan options like ice cream, cookies, and more. Plus, the staff is super friendly. Try it, you won't regret it! Regarding the space, I believe it might need better decor to feel more welcoming ( only my opinion ), but you completely forget it once you have tasted their food items. I hope they get more clientele, as they deserve the hype.
