We found this spot from a recommendation at the nearby Sheraton. We were visiting from out of state - first time in New Jersey - and we wanted to try an old-school Italian restaurant with good food. This place is a gem - from the wonderful waiter who had worked at GPs for 45 years, to the bartender who gave us even more food recommendations, we loved the place! The food was fantastic (shrimp scampi especially) and I have to say it was one of the highlights of our trip.

Friday night dinner for my family visiting from the UK. We had to wait a while for our table but once seated, we were treated to great service and great food! The portions are generous and the food, especially the crab cakes, veal and meat balls, was delicious!

Came here on a Thursday with no reservations, after moving into the area. This place was amazing! Everyone was super friendly, and we loved the decor of the restaurant (I have to come back just to hang out at the bar). The perk was the free salad starter and all of our entrees were amazing! I would highly recommend coming here if you’re in the area as it seems to be a very popular place:

This place is my preferred one. I visit a lot of restaurants but to this place I keep coming back again and again. The team is very receptive and the food they serve is so delicious. I am always happy to have a decent meal here. Highly recommended.

Old school comfort is hard to find these days. We were introduced by friends a year ago and introduced new friends on our second trip. Both times our experience was wonderful! These people really care about the quality of food that they are putting on your table. If you're able to meet one of the owners, they'll come out to greet you making you feel right at home. The food is delicious and traditional with large portions.

As usual GPs lives up to its reputation. No fuss family oriented Italian staples that have keeping locals and visitors coming back for years. The service is impecible and the atmosphere and food stand out.

We had a family get together and decided to try GP’s. What a great dinner! Upon arrival you will find this corner restaurant. Valet parking is available and recommend as parking could be a nightmare. The restaurant is a typical small neighborhood restaurant, but not to worry, you’ll be greeted by the friendly staff and seated. The menu has some of my favorite Italian dishes plus nightly specials. The salad was excellent along with the appetizers. I had the Veal Marsala. Excellent dish—the sauce was wonderful. Meals served to the family got great reviews. Deserts were great. When looking for great Italian meals, don’t pass this place up!
