I ordered the chicken and shrimp lomein, as I usually do from other chinese food places, and I have been throwing up all night. The food must have been undercooked or something like that, I definetly got food poisoning from it.

I just got from here after doing New East last week and being disappointed. This will be my go-to from now on for cheap Chinese. The food is good considering the prices. The dumplings are thick skin, which I love (nice and chewy). The hot and sour soup is definitely better than New East. The shrimp is decent, not too chewy, and a good size, as good as you can do from frozen (all cheap Chinese will be shrimp from frozen). They have good selection on the menu, chicken stick is good way to have protein in your fridge for later meals. I ordered orange chicken and it was pretty good.Let it be known that this is Hackensack's go-to hole-in-the-wall Chinese placeVegetarian options: You can always get tofuWheelchair accessibility: No step to go up, same level as sidewalk

The other reviews were spot on! Thanks! First time there 1/2024. Nice people. The food was so tasty (general tso w/pfr & egg rolls)! It tastes like the old school chinese restaurants, if you know what I mean. The flavor took me back to my childhood??. We will def be back to order!

This is not a final judgment, as this is the first time ordering take out here. The employee was friendly and the service was quick having not ordered our food in advance. Our Egg Rolls were crisp and tasty and our chicken with broccoli was somewhat oily but yet satisfying. They could have been more generous with the chicken. The fortune cookies were delicious. The restaurant itself was clean; and patrons were eating there as it is a pleasant environment. We will definitely dine there in the future as the value for the portions was fair.

It's pretty good here. Everything I've tasted is fresh and not oily. I like how they don't overcook the vegetables. Who wants mushy mooshu? Not me.

This review oddly enough is all about the egg drop soup. Why? Because I got steamed chicken and mixed vegetables and figured let me get some soup it's raining out. I have NEVER had egg drop soup from a neighborhood Chinese take out this good. Seriously. I went in there thinking eh some soup will be good. But was it ever! The broth that forms the basis of the soup is just so tasty. It's got this complex and deep flavor. Not like your typical here's some chicken broth type of soup. It's darker in color and just indescribably rich and satisfying. I will be going back soon to taste some more substantial food because the garlic sauce that came on the side of my steamed stuff was quite tasty too. I suspect everything here is a winner and those were just a hint. I'll post again for sure. But for now - GET THE SOUP!

Fantastic Chinese food at good prices. Usually get beef with broccoli, lo mein, Delivery is prompt and never disappoints! The husband and I ordered almost once a week at one point you won't be disappointed!

I've been coming to Hong Kong restaurant for years. My opinion, it's actually one of the better Chinese takeout's in the area. The owners and staff are super nice, and always willing to strike up a conversation with you. And as far as the food, I've never had a meal I didn't like (except the happy family). They have been my go to for the longest time, but sadly, I have to give them three out of five stars, because their prices have gone up so much that it's almost not even enjoyable anymore. I recently ordered: - Fried dumplings - Chicken and broccoli - Large egg drop wonton soup - pint of fried rice As you can tell, there is nothing major about the order, and yet it cost me $40 for everything. Maybe I'm showing my age, but $40 for four items is a little steep for a no frills Chinese takeout, especially when I noticed portions seem to be not as bountiful. Truthfully, I'll spend that amount on a high end Chinese restaurant in NYC that offers white linen and table service; not a Chinese takeout that has a plexiglass divider between and no seating. Let's be honest, I'm not going to stop ordering out from here, but my orders will be smaller and more spread out until these prices become more reasonable.

Usually order hot n sour soup. Can't go wrong. Less greasy foods than the local Chinese fast foods in the area.Parking: Other businesses occupy the street parking

Have now ordered several times for pickup. After trying a bunch of different dishes and comparing to others we have had, we have found those dishes consistently good. Since cold sesame noodles are a favorite, these are always sampled and Hong Kong does a very good job. Likewise the soups. The chicken lo mein was tasty and nicely done as was the vegetable fried rice. The vegetable egg foo young was also very tasty, came with a nice sauce. Other dishes also did not disappoint. Can't speak to delivery as we just run over to pickup, but it's always ready.
