I love this place. I come here usually every week or every other week. My usual is a cheeseburger with fries on the side. I like my burger well done and fries un-deep fried. The boys bathroom is nice and the women’s bathroom was clean too. Overall 5/5 experience.

Solid KBBQ food already made for you! Great flavor. Recommend short ribs and beef bulgogi. Chicken Katsu is also solid. Service is also very fast! ? can’t go wrong with this spot!

Consistent spot for good-enough soondubu. My favorite tofu place flavor-wise is probably So Kong Dong in Fort Lee, but it’s not always easy to get there.SGD serves to fulfill my occasional soft tofu craving. I find their rice to be sometimes an inconsistent texture.Parking is plentiful and their location is easy to find.

Food is good , but service is horrible. The Waiters are very rude & disrespectful. They rush you to speak (Place isn't busy) , they order you where to sit , & when to go home (they give you the check in middle of your meal without asking if you'd like anything else or if you're even close to finish) & you can feel them treating you differently because you aren't Korean. Especially the male waiter. Not very child friendly. (Reminding you we're in the United States) country created by immigrants from All parts of the world.

Korean BBQSunday evening dinner at SGD Dubu So Gong Dong Tofu & Korean BBQ.Someone asked me recently where is the meat and we're not talking Arby's here ? .We have no beef with the portion served since they serve plenty here in this restaurant chain of almost two dozen around the country.Plenty of great probiotics in the kimchi and other vegetable items served as appetizers gratis beforehand.Almost full on a Sunday night with a 95%, Korean and or Asian clientele and us.REPapillon

So Gong Dong in Hackensack was good before I was like it.But today, I ate seafood tofu with flat noodles. The tofu wasn't fresh, and I could tasted. I back home became diarrhea. It is my first time experience. I think I won't go there anymore. It made me disappointed ?

Dropped in for lunch on a Friday at 1:30 with my husband and in-laws. We’ve been to other locations before and it was pretty good so we decided to give this one a try. Almost all the banchan dishes were great. The cucumbers were a bit soggy (or too fermented?) but I like them crunchy. The kimchi was nice and fresh. We shared a seafood pancake, which was okay - but I also don’t love the pancakes because they tend to be soggy. For the main, I had the beef soondubu but with noodles since I’ve never tried it with noodles before. It was fine but it doesn’t come with an egg. Next time, I think I’ll just stick to rice because of that. Plus I like the fact you can spoon the soup over the rice. The noodles soak up all the broth, which I don’t like.Overall, it was pretty standard. It’s not something I would seek out to return to but if I’m in the area and craving Korean food, it will do

Came here for dinner post workout. We were quite hungry and kinda hangry. We ordered: Seafood Pancake, it was well made. The seafood was fresh and flavor blended with the pancake Tofu soup noodle and beef tofu soup. The soup base was enjoyable and tasted natural. No MSG. It was super hot as it came from the clay pot. Had to slowly slurp the soup The appetizers were: tofu skin, bean sprouts, kimchi, cucumber, seaweed, and something else that i don't remember its name. Even though the offering was different from other tofu places, they tasted really good and held the appetite a bit before the main course came along : )

My brother and I stopped by this restaurant on a recent Saturday before shopping at the Costco Business Center, which is just down the street. We had two soft tofu soups, one with seafood and the other with mushrooms. The flavor was average: not terrible but not great either. So then, why would I give this restaurant only one star? It wasn't until my brother finished his rice -- even eating the scorched rice as sungnyung -- that we noticed the stone bowl that the rice was cooked and served in was cracked and missing a portion of the bottom. Evident from the accompanying photo, it is a health hazard and should not have been used at all to cook and serve anything. However, when we called over the staff to express our displeasure, they said that the bowl was completely normal and saw no issues with using such items to serve their customers.Even one star is too gracious for an establishment such as this one, and I would actually give it negative stars if I could. I certainly won't be returning to this restaurant that clearly does not care about the health and safety of their customers.

Solid for all your Korean menu needs... soups, bbq, appetizers. Sooooo good!Plenty of parking as they share a big shopping center with many businesses.

Just to let all customers know, i am korean with my non asian fiance. There is one waiter, a male that is sooo nasty and rude. I have been going since 2021 and up until 2022, i will NEVER go to the hackensack restaurant. First, service is nasty and rude from the tall male waiter, plus food taste saltier than the other locations. I ask a question and he replies very rudely. His gesture, outcome is very unprofessional and unpleasant when we go there. I suggest replacing him. There is a kind woman I recommend with glasses, very pleasant. I suggest Edgewater SGD Tofu, atmosphere, service excellent. Please Hackensack SGD, be respectful to your customers. Dont be a racist.
