All of the reviews about how Carl is a terrible boss are correct when I worked for him in Livingston when he had just taken ownership of that location he broke the AC system because he wouldn't listen to an employee about how he couldn't set it to below 75 degress he said "it's my store I can do whatever I want" the employee who told him that new what he was talking about because he had worked for the previous owners so yes Carl is a POS

This company is the biggest joke and disgrace to Philly pretzel factory.Carl the owner is a terrible boss, he is very unprofessional. Rather than taking the time to train you appropriately in the necessary facets of the position he leaves you to your own devices and then is quick to criticize and humiliate about the slightest thing.Coaching and being a good Leader is an integral part of good culture and keeping good personnel. In the Army National Guard we learned this first hand. Carl missed at both! When Carl the Owner/Manager finally showed up after fours weeks of my non onboarding he was extremely critical and humiliated me. I have also heard him say if you drop dough on the ground before it goes in the oven it's OK you can put it back through the shredder, already twisted pretzels fall on the found also ok to put in the oven Gross and so unsanitary. I could keep going on and on, but I'II leave it at that.Do not recommend going inside this business orworking at this location very unprofessional!!!! Have a good day

I’ve been coming here for years and the food is always amazing. But recently I’ve heard that they are disrespectful to their workers and service members. Being in the army myself I find this disgusting. Fix how you treat your workers. I will no longer be supporting this business until the management comes out and apologizes for their actions. Look I love Philly Pretzels, they always taste very good but I have one thing to say. The owner or manager here is a very unhappy person and feels the need to single out people because of this. I won't name anyone but someone that I know who works there just so happens to be a reservist in the NJ Army National Guard has taken the brunt of it to the point where he was forced into resigning. The guy threatened to press charges on my brother for "looking at his phone and stealing time." Disrespecting service members, first responders and those who give their lives to keep this country safe is unacceptable and there is no place for people like that in the Hackettstown community. Feel free to reach out directly if you would like to talk about this. I will no longer be supporting this business.

I will never turn down a soft pretzel ! I love this place. Always hot fresh soft pretzels. Great place for a snack or to get platters for holidays or events. Always friendly and fast. I wish I had one closer but it's nice trip with the kids to grab a snack. They always do specialty pretzels for holidays too which is fun. The cinnamon dip is like crack by the way. Cheese dip and mustards are great also.

I placed a custom order, "1"'s for a first birthday. I worked with Carl the owner and he was awesome answering all my questions and making suggestions. The pretzels were a hit! Specialized pretzel shapes make a great impression at a party and are super affordable detail!

That'll be the last time I go here unfortunately. Came in from a event where they gave 1 free pretzel coupons to my kid. Showed the coupon and said just want a pretzel , held the coupon up . My child got the coupon from the Easter bunny. Had to wait for them to be made ( which isn't the issue ) the issue was after waiting for a few minutes the guy re asked, ok what did you want - I said oh just a pretzel again . To which I then help up my coupon again. The man then rudely said " oh, you mean a free pretzel! There's a difference . " very nasty like to me . (Ok, sorry I told you just a few minutes ago and showed my coupon didn't realize you forgot. )Then I bought a dip and I grabbed it off the shelf and placed it down and he asked if I wanted any dip. I said just a mustard. He then said "well which type!?" ...again very rude like. Just this one I said. Gave him a dollar and he then threw the .50 cents change on the counter towards me .Thanks for undeserved rude experience.
