I love this place for soup and a sandwich and to watch the live feed of birds at Cornell University. Farm fresh, the little sandwich shop in Hackettstown.

So….. I was in the market for some soup for my daughter. Wow a restaurant called Soups On Main!!! PerfectI had never been in this restaurant so I was a little taken back by the signs.. but whatever..I really do appreciate organic ingredients so was happy to see that’s what they use.We got a small chicken noodle soup.. it had very little chicken, vegetables or noodles. Was mostly broth and was over $7. The bread it came with was delicious. I thought almost $8 for a few ounces of soup albeit organic was still very expensive. The owner was polite to me but not a fan of how he responds to people who leave 1 star reviews. Very aggressive for someone who preaches free speech.

Horrible customer service and even worse food. Grilled cheese and Reuben were soggy. Soup was cold. Employees are miserable here. Never coming back to Soups on Main. Wish I could give zero stars.Vegetarian options: Old and grossKid-friendliness: Not kid friendlyParking: No parkingWheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessibleDietary restrictions: No dietary restrictions

Food is fresh and tasty! And this business believes in freedom! I was thrilled to see their God loving values displayed in plain sight as I walked in. Such a refreshing change to get away from the dystopian vaccine taking communists who infest most of our society. I love any business that walks in truth! I will be eating at soups on main often and support them in any way I can!PS To all the marxist hypocrites giving this place bad reviews. Dying suddenly is the new virtue signal.

The food was decent but bombardment of politics is off putting. The outside world is full of enough of this nonsense. Just give us a break for 20 minutes while we eat a grilled cheese.

How'd that red wave work out for you!?! Lol. Now what? Oh yeah- more maga flags for Your house with the slogan "***** 2024"

Owner consistently calls others bullies and threatens with cease and desists (ironic for someone promoting freedom of speech?) Take a look in the mirror! I was going to try this restaurant but steered away due to what I have read. My one star review is not for the food (which may be perfectly lovely & I have not tried) but rather the way customers are treated simply by reading responses from the owner.

Found this spot last week… I love grilled cheese so I was really excited- it did not disappoint! I loved the sourdough bread and the cheese they used, it was so tasty. My mom got a Cuban and HOLY MOLY. It was frigin AMAZING. So then 2 days later I went back and got the Cuban…. Probably will be my go to weekly now. Craving it as I write this- It was so delicious and I felt it was comparable to the Cubans in Miami… which to me means a LOT! definitely will be back a ton!!!!! Also love that everything is clearly well sourced/ higher quality ingredients. You can tell just eating it…

Food wasn’t up to the recommendation I got, and the environment is not a welcoming one. Nationalist conspiracy theories hung in the window make this a small business I would rather not have taking up such a prominent storefront. They could’ve at least tried to make a good cuban sandwich to make up for it.

Soups On Main is one of our favorite local restaurants when we want a night off from cooking! The food is delicious, fresh and locally sourced. There are organic options, healthy options, gluten free options and straight up comfort food options. Plus, the atmosphere is wonderful for families! Our kids have a blast with the farmhouse style tables loaded with coloring options and games. We've also rented their space out for my husband's birthday and it was wonderful. The owners and employees go above and beyond to accommodate your needs. Highlights: their split pea soup, their cuban sandwich, their sourdough bread, their local pot pies.

Is this place ever open/still in business? They seem to be on “vacation” a lot, maybe off storming the capitol or whatever.I would consider stopping in and trying some of their soup, if I didn’t think I’d be poisoned. Not only that, but can you guys get a little more creative with your signage and window displays? It’s getting rather boring.

I ordered the matzoh ball soup and they were completely inedible. If you can’t make matzoh balls then please either learn the proper way of making them or take it off the menu. They were brown, dense, and hard and tasted absolutely horrible. I’ve eaten this type of soup countless of times and know a good one when I taste it. The broth, however, was tasty.

Food was Good, But!!!! Very Extreme Political views cloaked as patriotism! It isn’t worth your time unless you like reading propaganda signage. Regardless of political views, for me I would like to eat in piece instead of feeling like I’m at a rally.

Blown away. REAL healthy food that tastes amazing. It’s very sad to see a business get so much negative attention for promoting freedom but I guess these are the times we live in. I’m going to be eating here forever. Best, and healthiest food in Hackettstown.

Tacky with all of their signs littering their front window. Just full of disgusting opinions ever since CO-VID, and don’t think we forgot about those anti semitism posters and books that use to be out on display on the window. Google photos will always keep that evidence around. This is all very unnecessary and immature for a business which I would like to assume is people well old enough to know, but I guess that’s boomers for you... I hate to see this dent in our beautiful Main Street.Just mind your own business and use it towards making actual good food. No wonder this place is always empty, especially with those ridiculous prices to keep up with the lack of customers.
