The service and atmosphere was great as we did order pick up. The presentation of the food looked appeasing but when we actually tasted it, it was extremely bland. I ordered the pan seared salmon that came with spinach, mashed potatoes, and topped with a garlic red pepper sauce. I didn’t taste any type of seasoning on anything. The “sauce” wasn’t a sauce, it was basically the oil the salmon was cooked it. My husband ordered the skirt steak and he said the same thing about his food. Which we were quite surprised as we have eaten here before and the food was great. I’m just hoping it was just a fluke.

They must've had like one guy cooking in the kitchen and one server working the day I went because, wow.... the food was subpar also.. I remember it being delicious a couple years back but it was all very average this time around.

Our entrees were very good and the portions were just right. Our waiter was excellent and didn't check on us very 2 minutes., but was there for drink replenishment when required. My only complaint was the drink prices, thought $5.00 for Miller Lite was a little steep and will keep my future refills to a minimum.

This was the first time to have a business dinner here & we were impressed by the kind staff, who was extremely attentive & good food. We never felt rushed to wrap up our business meeting.
Another fun evening at Taphouse Grill, Hackettstown. The restaurant was quite lively for a late Friday evening, but we were seated promptly and our special request was happily obliged. The food is always good and the specials help give some addtional options. Mine was the fish tacos, which the hostess jokingly suggested and I am grateful she did. Our server, April made us feel welcome and helped make this a very enjoyable evening. She has a great wit, is very attentive and always makes certain we have everything we need. If you're looking for a fun atmosphere, good food and great service you must try this restaurant.
