This is one of the best options within 25 minutes of crystal springs resort. The shrimp cocktail was amazing, the tuna tar tar was great but I didn't enjoy the rice crisp underneath, salmon was great with it's sides but I actually was never asked how I wanted the salmon to be cooked. Service was good when you could get the waiter's attention it was super busy so that's probably why. Sitting next to the windows there are some awesome views. I'd like to go again and try other things on the menu

The male bartender at the main bar here on Friday night almost served my pregnant wife an alcoholic drink after ordering a virgin cocktail. After his mistake he gave us a cheap bill which we assumed he was comping the drinks we ordered for the mistake, so we left a generous tip in good faith however he came back and corrected the bill after being tipped. I don't appreciate getting philly squeezed on my birthday after he messed up our order! Horrible behavior. The food and service for dinner was pretty good, a solid 4. The hospitality was non existent. The hostess and staff did not do anything despite being told we were celebrating a birthday. I don't recommend coming here.

Don’t waste your time especially if your only staying one night and coming all the way from the city and have pigment on your skin, first they brought us the wrong bottle of wine, wasn’t gonna complaint much about it I’m very easy going but then when we ordered they item of the order wasn’t available, kinda saw where this was going, esp being stared at like they never seen folks from they city I decided to complain about the wine, cut my order complete to just the wine and appetizer and which then was told item which was unavaible is now available, only ordered the item because I read previous reviews on it, but of course knew what was going on,

I really liked everything I ate here. For dinner, the chicken and sweet potato dish was great and really enjoyed their pear cocktail. Their breakfast buffet was great. The overnight oats were fantastic. They have a huge spread from lox and cheese table, yogurts and oatmeal, pastries, omelet station, pancakes, waffles and all the fixings. It's pricey but definitely gave a lot of options.

Food is great, service seems to be inconsistent - the first night, it was perfect. The following night and the morning after (for breakfast), service was questionable at best. It almost feels like they have an A-team for Saturday, and the B-team for the rest of the week. For the prices they are asking, the average experience out of the 3 occasions is unfortunately just average.
They do a lot with a little but our table and eating area was dirty from prior meals. The food is decent but the food wasn't prepared to my request. The drinks were good. There's a decent view by my family and I were seated next to the kitchen and didn't get to enjoy the viewI must add there ribs are amazing. And the waiter from another table was helpful and went beyond his job description.

Can't comment on the food nor the atmosphere. Had to cancel my date night reservation as I was contacted by Crystal Tavern last minute stating that they decided to have only a $155 prefix menu and nothing a-la-carte. Basing my perception off my experience as a F&B Manager for the past 15 years I probably would have found this business choice to be the reflection of unprofessionalism in other departments of this restaurant.$155 prefix menu for 3 courses ( 2 courses + dessert ) with no beverage included. Decided last minute, with no indications or information online, nor during the reservation process. Nothing made sense about it, especially considering everything around the restaurant or resort is priced very differently. Not even at the Mohonk the Christmas prefix reached that price. I'm sure this won't be the last review regarding this. And if the prefix involved some high culinary dishes you should have promoted them or justified the pricing accordingly. Lamb is not more expensive on Christmas , neither is Labor. If you didn't want customers on Christmas you could have stayed closed.
This is NOT a review for the food in the restaurant. This review is for the "dinner and show" all in one cost. Buffet food was ok show with John Grahm was FANTASTIC! Highly recommend.

The place is an overpriced bar and grill. We tried the jerk wings, which were surprisingly good. However, the watermelon gazpacho was basic, like watermelon juice on a plate. They could not have put less effort or imagination into it if they tried. The tandoori chicken was mid, but that's to be expected from a place that is not Indian. Overall, I wouldn't recommend going to this place unless you go for the mountain view...
