I would give the food 3 stars and the service 5 stars. I have been to other Maplewood locations, but this was my first experience here. It is a nice restaurant. I didn't really see it as anything extremely fancy, but it was very comfortable. The garlic bread was excellent! Food was just ok. Lobster was kind of chewy, but decent. Overall a good meal with great service!

I do not recommend this restaurant. Not much flavor with the Chicken marsala and the chicken was very dry and cut up. The bread was eh, along with the salad. Really bad service, all in all a disappointments .,

We were told the waiting time is 35 minIn reality it was over an hour and if we knew thatfrom the beginning, probably we would’ve chosen another place to eatThe inside of the restaurant is very bland, almost look as a cantinaBut the main thing is the food, which is very good by all means, but ridiculously expensiveThe last page of the menu is for lunch only with a note on the top that SUNDAY is not servedEasy to ignore the note ! Why not remove the page on Sundays since it doesn’t apply anyway .I ordered a scalops with crab in butter sauce and i refused the pasta. At this time the waitress suggested side dishes and I chose broccoli andbaked potatoTo make the story short when the bill came i was surprised to see that they charged me $29 for the scalops and $7 for broccoli and potatoSame charges were applied to the side dishes on another guest at our tableSo for a $29 meal you charge another $3.50 for a side dish ???? That’s outrageous! And that’s because they just mix the lunch prices with diner prices! On SUNDAY only !!! Im sure other people made this mistake but the waitress doesnt bring it to your attention! They took off the $7 for side dishes when I complained but in the end PRICES ARE STILL OUTRAGEOUS HIGH ! Not in the middle of Manhattan, its HammontonObviously we are not going to pick this place to eat anytime soon !!!But be AWARE!

It's always a bit sad to go to a long time favorite place where food has aways been consistently great goes down to just ok. Ordered; drinks arrive after 15 mins; Aperol Spritzer arrived warm, ice had melted, Chianti; very pleasant.Garlic bread was loaded with salt. Even for friend who loves salt noted it bit back. The soup was a bowl of overcooked shells with mild broth and only ate the beans from it. Dinner was Veal Parm. which was thin & tasty. Linguine was overcooked, not al dente. Scallops, crab & white sauce over linguine; scallops cooked nicely with barely a sprinkle of crab meat. The white sauce tasted mostly of chicken broth without a decent wine reduction. Thin & flavorless. Mediocre at best. Beginner cooks can make a basic white wine sauce on a hot plate. Dessert was not considered.
