When I arrived with my 4 year old daughter, I realized this restaurant may be a little more formal than we expected and not a place that served many kids. However, our experience was wonderful, and I can’t wait to go back. The staff treated my daughter so nicely & made her feel welcome, the food was delicious, they had a nice wine list, and a lot of care went into every detail. This is how a restaurant should be. Everything we ordered was tasty & well prepared, we had a nice swordfish appetizer and whole branzino that was filleted table side. I am looking forward to going back & trying more of their menu items.

Amazing is an understatement, I do not know where to begin!Food, service, atmosphere and hospitality were all 10/10. Marcus, our waiter was great, he went above and beyond and was very attentive.They made my mother’s birthday dinner very special. I cannot wait to return and try other menu items. Everything was delicious. Il Capriccio is a gem that gives you that old school yet modern feel of Italian fine dining in North Jersey.

After being here a number of times, it is safe to say you can blindly order something random on the menu and it will be fantastic. Great for a weekly date night, business lunch/dinner, it is for sure a place to impress your guests! As a restauranteur myself, Il Capriccio is the Gold standard in everything they do from their fresh food, professional service, and even a warm and genuine greeting. Really, nothing comes close.

There really are no words for how amazing this restaurant is. You just have to go. Highly recommend the sea bass, sole oreganata, cacio e pepe, burrata, and cannolis of course.

Disappointing experience- Was so excited to return after a while and was surprised an aesthetically beautiful restaurant was underwhelming with food and service. Not that busy for dinner but waited literally 30m to order our meal, had an empty drink without reorder for about 15m with no concern, and felt like an aside for a $200+ meal for 2 people. Will not return - so many better options in NJ for great Italian
