Me and my wife celebrated my 77th birthday tonight at Trattoria Toscana. I have always been critical of fake Italian restaurants like Olive Garden and Macaroni Grill. I wanted to eat authentic Italian Cuisine. Trattoria delivered. The Antipasto Misto for 2 set the stage. It had all of the classic Antipasto elements of meat, cheese, olives, anchovies, and tomatoes. It was better than I had hoped for (see photo)We skipped the pasta (primi) and went straight to the main course (Secondi) . The strip steak was cooked to perfection and potatoes, squash and sautéed spinach were excellent. My wife had the chicken Francese. She said that this was also excellent. We finished the meal off with the almond cake and cappuccino. The dessert was fantastic.This is a family run authentic Italian restaurant. If you have only eaten in chain restaurants you may have to remember that these people are serving you in what they feel is their home. It is a different experience. One that I am looking forward to repeating.

If you're looking for a fancy high end Italian restaurant this may not be the place for you. The food is basic Italian cuisine, it's served hot and well worth the price. The quality of the food was also good.

I've eaten at Trattoria Toscano for many years and tonight I had Angel hair pasta with garlic and crushed pistachio. The flavors collided in a explosive way and touched every aspect of my palette! How amazing these flavors and ingredients so artistically cooked by Giacomo the chef can only be described as a unique talent! Bravo to Giacomo. Claudia is a dream and Rudy an amazing entrepreneur. Makes me like I'm back in Toscani
