We chose this place because it was BYOB (no bottle opening fees :) When we arrived around 4:15pm we were the only ones in the place so it was dead but the food was amazing! We had the Rib Eye Steak, Chicken Alfredo, Truffle Fries and Tiramisu. They cooked my steak exactly how I asked, the Chicken Alfredo was perfection and idk what sauce they gave us with the truffle fries but it was to die for! Buttery, garlicky goodness! Will definitely be back!

I had very bad experience in this restaurant. When I get there not body was there to tell me where to sit, the waitress was very rude and seems that she is not happy working there. The food it was ok is not the best. I not planning to go back there.

I came here for a Valentine's dinner date. I was not greeted or questioned upon arrival. There was no "Hi, how are you? Are you just coming in or did you make a reservation?". I had to explain I called in a reservation while the waiters just awkwardly waited to speak, with no smiles, no greetings. The restaurant was not busy or packed.I was not shown to my table, my waiter simply pointed at it, said we can sit there and that was that. He also did not introduce himself whatsoever and HE DID NOT ASK WHAT WE WANTED TO DRINK.After looking at the menu for a few minutes, I closed it and waited almost 10mins for them to finally take my order. The waiters were just chit chatting and hanging out amongst themselves. I had my hand raised for quite a while before they finally noticed and that really annoyed me. It's like the waiter handed us the menu and just completely forgot and did not care about us even though we were sat right by the counter, in visible view.Food came out promptly and was tasty but the presentation was horrible and super low class for a restaurant of this supposed caliber. And again, I was STILL not offered anything to drink. Not even a glass of water!?? I had to sit there with my hand raised, waiting for the waiter to come by, to ask what drinks they have. The Shirley Temple was made with room temperature flat soda so it was not carbonated and just tasted like grenadine syrup. Gross. And after the meal, again, I had my hand raised forever, just sitting there waiting for them to notice me and bring my check.Food was good, but not good enough for me to come back after the horrible service.Train your waiters better, tell them to put on a smile, and actually accommodate guests as if they're guests.I made no special requests, I had no issues with anything and did not need any special attention. But they still failed in every aspect that is normal to a dine-in restaurant. Super inattentive and non friendly staff. Do better.

Was on vacation to New York but stayed in New Jersey. This restaurant was just a short distance from where we were staying. We ate at this establishment 2 times. Even us being from Texas, this was still one of the best steaks we've ever eaten. You could make a meal out of the mashed potatoes alone, sooo smooth and buttery. A 10 out of 10 for sure!!!!

Clean and casual steakhouse. The filet and creamed spinach was very good. Cooked to temperature and the creamed spinach was scratch made. Their house steak sauce was a nice touch. Everything was seasoned well, no salt or pepper needed.

Eleazar's Steakhouse in Harrison, NJ left me with mixed feelings. While the food was decent, the service was far from satisfactory. The server, likely the owner's son, seemed disinterested and failed to adhere to basic hospitality norms. No inquiries about our well-being or beverage preferences were made, and there was a conspicuous absence of any follow-up on our dining experience. A lack of genuine care from the staff, especially if it's the owner's son, is disappointing and detracts from the overall dining atmosphere.

This is probably the best casual steakhouse around. If you're going to places like longhorn or Texas roadhouse then this place is better. The salmon and the pastas aren't bad either.Parking is rough.
