Very tasty Ecuadorian food! Friendly staff. Casual cafe with a number of tables and a TV . Different menu pretty much every day. For Easter (Good Friday) they have the traditional Ecuadorian soup Fanesca really good! Try the humitas!

Don't go to the place. The word professionalism & respect towards the costumers doesn't exist in this place. They will only treat you the way that it should be if you talk good about their food. I order a humita not a tamal! is not the same thing. I can't order chicken & get duck, instead. Make it make sense. To make it clear I didn't say the tamal had a bad taste, I just questioned that “humita” was made with flour tamal. But, people got offended for no reason. Racist comments we got from them: the guy and the owner. At this point there's No freedom of speech? False accusations. I'm glad that they have cameras 24/7 where they can clearly see that I paid for the food + ( $1 tip) Also the way she (owner) talked to us??. Thank you for the Tamale! God bless you! Quick, suggestion you need to change your bad attitude & be PROFFESIONAL as a business owner. Attention costumers, alert! Make sure that if you order a bollo you don't a quimbolito instead.AnswerFirstly, the respect that you just mentioned “that we all deserve.” I would have liked to receive that day. Since there was no lack of respect for you, your staff or your clients. Second, organize your ideas before answering/editing the answer, since you have changed your version numerous times, also learn to write because you do not understand what you are trying to express. Third, “if you don't like being responded to, it is a country free of expression” I imagine that refers to the “response” of the aggressive subject. To give an answer as you say, there must be a previous talk/conversation/discussion. Something that didn't happen with the guy (he should check his cameras again). The guy is a nosy person who got into a STRANGE conversation. (We hadn't even noticed his presence) until he started screaming like a madman, very aggressively towards me & the people who were with me. Fourth, don't put words in my mouth that I never said. “You said that this food was not like the food of Ecuador.” Fifth, it doesn't matter to make comparisons/mention your past experiences with your clients (I'm not interested at all), much less are they relevant. Sixth, if the order was left prepared & lost, as you mention. It was because any normal person would not stay in a place where they are being aggressively attacked in something unprovoked & even worse when the owner, instead of behaving professionally, takes part in the aggressor & makes equally offensive comments like “go back to Ecuador”. What did you expect? That we should stay in that place? Excuse me, but I don't have the need to stay in a place where they don't respect customers, much less a place where I don't feel comfortable or safe. The aggressive type (with blows to the face). There are millions of restaurants where they treat customers with the due respect & professionalism that they should have. Obviously we don't have to stay in a place where there isn't one. Fortunately it was my first time visiting this place & obviously I will never return, as you say 1-2 less customers don't care. But he lost clients (people who were with me) who had consumed several times in that place. Since, as I told him myself, the problem was not the food (apart from the humitas that were overlooked) it was more than anything his lack of professionalism towards his clients. Unfortunately I don't have more time for you, I recommend that you be a neutral & professional person, but what could I expect if with your actions you made it clear to me that you are the same as the aggressor. Blessings & good luck to your business ✨

I have been a customer of this place for many years. It's more from the old location in Kearny, Ecuador (currently other owners). The times I have visited this restaurant I have paid for the consumption and even more so I have even left tips. There is nothing wrong with questioning the main ingredient in humita. It was never said if it tasted bad, it was because of the texture it had when eating the humita (I hope they took the trouble to check their cameras about what happened). The “humita” was never returned even though it was not liked. It is understood that not all meals in any restaurant are good, there are exceptions and obviously one could understand what happened with the humita. If a client gets upset because he doesn't know how to listen well to other people's conversations and behaves aggressively, no one in his 5 senses is left to consume when clearly he even had his face hit or scratched (the guy). There is money, that's why we paid for what was consumed, which was the two humitas and the coffee, and we left $1 of tip, because the only thing one wanted was to leave because of both attitudes. Because verbal aggression is not acceptable, at least not for a conscious person, as was the case in our case. If the humita did not have the corn, the one who does not have money for the corresponding ingredients is you. That here and in China is called scam! If you put something on the menu you have to give what is ordered. I'm sorry but the truth is you don't have to bother. It was paid even though it was not what was offered on the menu. I have eaten in all the restaurants in the area, don't worry about giving me the reputation of being freeloaders. Respective owners appreciate the consumption and the tip that is left to them. (% of total expenditure) blessings!

Avoid this place at all costs. Unless you want to be treated badly. And they tell you racist comments from an Ecuadorian towards another Ecuadorian such as “go back to your country” including comments from the owner. There are more restaurant options where you will be treated as RESPECT should be. On this occasion respect was given but unfortunately they lack that.

Before they would bring you the things you asked for on time, the deliveries would also bring your food just for one lunch, after you have to order something else and things like that, now you have to buy two lunches to bring the food to you, not even for being old customers bring you for one.
