I recently visited a local coffee shop, and I must say, everything was fantastic. The atmosphere was cozy, the staff was friendly, and the coffee was excellent. A perfect spot for a relaxing cup of coffee. Best Nutella Croissant in the Bergen County ??

Extremely rude and unwelcoming staff. Was told “no computer users allowed” on my first visit to this coffee shop. As someone who’s native to Hasbrouck Heights, I now know why my neighbors and friends do not recommend this place. Sign says “restaurant and lounge” incredibly misleading as their menu contains lunch/cafe items, and they’re refusing to operate as a lounge. Also read the owners reply that they don’t allow computers on a Friday or Saturday, this is a lie. I was there about an hour ago, on a Tuesday. Was also told to leave.

The hours advertised are incorrect and theres no internet even though its a 'lounge'.Also, I ordered a hot chocolate and our server asked if I wanted whipped cream and I said yes. When the bill came, i was charged extra for whipped cream. I should have been informed that it was going to be an extra charge before she offered that option to me.

I came three times with friends—once to look around, once for a takeout breakfast, and once to sit down for drinks. The barista (Cat) was kind and accommodating of our requests and patient with changes. We absolutely loved her and the chef, who hustled hard to make the experience great for everyone in the cafe. The whole space is cozy, fun, and filled with lovely local art, books, and games (pool for quarters and free boxes games in the window). I ordered an almond joy latte, a pumpkin pie latte, and a Nutella pastry in my visits and I was very pleased by the quality and the price! There is plenty of seating at the bar and in the dining area, even during lunch. Bigger parties (more than 4) will need to move tables together or add more chairs to tables. I highly recommend this cafe and will be back!Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian pastries!Dietary restrictions: There are dairy-free milks.Parking: There are several free parking spots along the boulevard. It can be tricky to get a spot out front because of general boulevard traffic. I have often been able to find a place within the block.Kid-friendliness: There is at least one high chair available. I have seen several kids playing at the pool table and sitting with family. There are children’s games and books in the collection.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a slanted entrance that is perfect for wheelchairs and a large single bathroom. There are shorter tables where a wheelchair could easily be rolled up.

Came with my partner and we sat were we liked, ordered our meal.. they had a pool table that you need to insert a dollar of quarters to play, we played while we waited for our food. Our waitress seemed to be unprofessional, wearing basically sleep wear. We overheard her apologize at another table assuming that she took too long or forgot some drinks (drinks they didn't even start to finish) because she also forgot many things at our table having to ask her twice for things and wasn't attentive. When we ordered our omelettes and we could instantly tell that they were from a carton. My partners potatoes were burnt and hard. And my omelette came with American cheese when I never ordered it. I don't eat cheese, especially American. I was in a rush, so I just returned the omelette and told her to take it off our bill. I ordered a side salad and I started to eat that only to find a hair on my cucumber... I returned that. When I showed it to the server she looked intensely at the cucumber and said "oh my fucking God" and I thought that was very unprofessional. We asked for the check and we never got it, and my partner had to go up and get her attention. Not to mention 18% gratuity is already included.. probably because service would not be up to par. We also ordered a pumpkin crêpe that just had pumpkin paste in it, That tasted very metallic. We hardly ate that. When she took my omelette away, she took my utensils, so I had to take my partners utensils. It's a shame because the ambience is quite nice, but definitely deteriorated over the years and the food is very low quality, and the service is barely service. I left unsatisfied and hungry.

This coffee shop is a disgrace to humanity. They wouldn't even allow my young son to eat his lunch at their outdoor tables. Previously, they had forced us to order before sharing the WiFi password. The person behind all this? The owner himself. Clearly, she knows neither business nor basic decency. This was our second chance given to them, and they blew it again. We'll be heading to their newly opened competitor across the street from now on. She is a l**** and always will be. I don't see this place lasting much longer. What a shame.PS:Oh now I see that they like to play review game, do you really think you will get rid of the bad reviews by changing the store name? Thats funny.Change the owner, that could be your only chance to stay in the business. The sullen-faced woman. I dont think she ever shop from starbucks that could be the only way to train her.

Review for Other Customers:I was here once a year ago getting a coffee with a friend and having a chat. It was lovely. I loved the atmosphere and appreciated that they stay open late. The coffee was good and had a variety of options. Now that I work from home regularly I was excited to have a quaint local spot to go to that wasn’t 20 min away. The sign out front says “Coffee Lounge and Restaurant.” Apparently they’re just a restaurant though.I went to have what would’ve been a 1.5 hour meeting with someone, planning to also order food and a drink. When I pulled out my laptop, the owner came over and rudely told me that I couldn’t have my laptop out and if I wanted to, I’d have to leave and go to the coffee place down the street. So I left. Imagine that. I would’ve been there for the average amount of time a table usually eats at a restaurant, was going to order a normal amount product, and they chose to send me to their competitor because my laptop would’ve been on the table. The whole place was empty except for 2 other tables at 7pm at night, so I wasn’t halting their business at all either. Plus I would’ve been back at least once a week when I wfh, but now I’ll never come again. They’re obviously just a restaurant, not a coffee lounge. And by the looks of some of the other comments here and experiences friends told me afterwards about KTB, it seems they’re usually much ruder and have other bizarre standards than what I came across. Heard multiple people had rude interactions with the owner, because they only ordered coffee and no food.Notes to the Owner:I’m very conscientious about not trying to overstay in coffee shops, and if I do stay longer, order more or tip well to compensate. After all, coffee shops are trying to make a living and I appreciate what they offer to the community. Obviously some people take advantage. If you feel you need to, a simple and kind notice of “if you’re going to work here for longer than an hour, we require a purchase minimum” would suffice and be understandable to nearly everyone. Or put a 2 hr time limit. Or set a certain section of the lounge as a lounge space, and reserve the rest for the restaurant portion. If you don’t want it to operate like a coffee lounge, change your sign. And if you won’t do that, at the very least drop the attitude, because clearly many people don’t understand and your business model is not self explanatory.

Came here for brunch and got the matcha latter and egg white, avocado, Swiss crepe. From the get go I loved the quaint aesthetic this place has. It's mixture of different knickknacks. The barista took our order and also made our drinks The matcha was great! A little bit in the sweeter side than what I normally get. The crepe was a little thicker than I was expecting. The portion was pretty big as I couldn't finish the crepe at the end

They have really good drinks and a nice selection of craft beer. It's usually not very loud here, great place to hang with friends! Pool table in the back.

My favorite cafe/coffee shop in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ is KTB Coffee Shop. It is very inviting and so like the Village coffee shops of long ago in Manhattan with the art work on the walls, the entertainment at end of the week, and the great coffee and food that is offered. Hasbrouck Heights on the Boulevard has developed a lot in recent years with many more good restaurants and shops. It's a pleasure to take walks on the Boulevard and enjoy all the colorful, picturesque shops and most of all to stop in at KTB for coffee and a respite from the rest of the world. It's the type of place you feel at home (especially due to the friendly service you receive) and can spend time on a device, or reading in a most pleasant environment!

I live close by and always see this place, it’s very well decorated. I finally decided to go in buy something and work from there for a couple hours. I got the menu and was told they don’t offer wifi which is odd for a coffee shop. I gave her back the menu to which she said “oh you only wanted the wifi?” I replied “no I was going to buy something and get some work done but never mind”. The place was empty and that’s probably why.
