This is a great local authentic Dominican spot. Prices are very reasonable, and the food is VERY authentic, which I appreciate! They have daily lunch specials, which are also reasonably priced.

Had the food at a birthday party earlier in Dec. Was so good then we placed a very large catering order for Christmas Eve. With so many picky eaters, the food was a 10 out of 10. Drove nearly an hour to pick up and worth every minute of the drive and gas. They actually mistakenly left off a tray that we paid for in the Xmas eve chaos. They sent it to us via Uber! Talk about great service in a crazy holiday! We really REALLY love this food!!! A hundred thank yous for making our holiday family party a huge success!!!

Food is average there are much better Dominican Spots. Their rice is not good it tastes like the bag rice you put in the microwave. I ordered here for the first time and last. For $12 they give very little amount of meat. I suggest going around Paterson and Garfield to get your moneys worth on authentic Dominican food.

Translated from the Spanish as the little palm, La Palmita Restaurant, located on a busy Boulevard in Hasbrouck Heights, serves Hispanic food predominantly Dominican cuisine. Parking could be a little tricky, depending on the time of day. First-timer at this storefront establishment under new management whose interior was cozy with a few tables. They have food already prepared, especially when you're on your lunch break, and it is convenient. Numerous lunch special options are offered for $12, and I ordered the costilla de cerdo guisada (stewed pork ribs) with black beans over white rice. This place is exactly what was needed, as the food is homemade, authentic, and tasty at a decent price. Make sure to bring cash, as they charge a bit more for credit cards. I could recommend this place.
