Fresh bread made daily and friendly service. Lots of place around with free parking. Small place but not so busy on weekends.

It was a little tight fit due to all the bakery goods laid out in the tables, but overall, it was a great place. I would definitely buy more if they took credit cards!

I didn't actually "hate" Berkeley Bakery. I was disappointed to find it CLOSED and up for sale when I stopped to get baked goods to take for a shiva visit.

Where are the cheese inside ube cheese pandesal? I bought two packs, my daughter was very excited to eat it and found out there's no cheese. She wrote *no cheese* on one package. Just wow! You are fooling your customers.

So many options! The owner is such a wonderful woman that will give you great recommendations. This place is also cash only.

I bought an ensaymada which was named macapuno ube pie. It’s not a pie at all. Its dry ensaymada muffin. This is at Asian Fusion at Parsons Blvd. NY.Horrors! Bread was so dry, 5 bits and pieces of macapuno and no ube, nothing there. Zero. It was a disappointment. You wasted money on the fancy name which should have been put on the product.Pls don’t mislead and rip off customers.I’d try one more time if you made an improvement.

We love all the bread, baked siopao and so with the empanada and hopia baboy. We will be back to buy more. Thank you kababayan.

TLDR: a bakery sufficient in staving off your craving for Filipino baked goods but doesn't leave you completely satisfied. Everyone who works there makes you feel like family.I moved to NYC from the west coast where Filipino food and bakeries are super available. I'm often in New Brunswick to visit my partner and friends so I was extremely excited to find that there was a Filipino bakery nearby. I got pandesal, ube cheese pandesal, and several various other things; I was super excited! Unfortunately, I think the only thing I cared for was the ube cheese pandesal and perhaps the hopia na baboy. Overall, I'd come back to buy ingredients to cook Filipino dishes but not convinced i need to return for any baked goods. Perhaps I'll try it again and update my review later.
As a local to Highland Park, this place is the best Filipino bakery in New Jersey and so far that I’ve ever had this lady will give you free stuff without asking super good everything is fresh. Unfortunately she is closing down but hopefully she can make enough money to keep the place 26 or 25 years of business really good food always get the coconut bread and some empanadas. And the Ube is good to right in the middle of town. Also, hope she can keep the business and for everyone saying, and giving bad reviews give her a break she’s by herself, but yeah 100% recommend trying favorite joint in town

Very good bakery. Just went this afternoon as my first time. Staffs are super nice and gave me the pork bun freshly baked. It is so good and tasty. It brings good memories of childhood tasty food.

Filipino here! From this bakery, I've had the regular pandesal, ube pandesal, ensaymada, and ube ensaymada. They're always authentic, fluffy, and have excellent texture/flavor. I live in Delaware & don't have to travel to NJ for these baked goods since they're shipped right to my local Asian supermarket! Never had any issues with these baked goods so I'm not sure about the few negative reviews here (I'm thinking that some people are just sooo picky & are impossible to please. Not to mention, they are insensitive to the fact that negative reviews with 1 or 2 stars can potentially hurt small mom and pop businesses like this one). I'll continue to support this business, especially since it's already so difficult to find a good Filipino bakery here in the east coast.

They advertise as open until 6pm but was actually closed when we got there at 4.
