This used to be my favorite spot to go. New owner changed the food and it is not the same. Chewy low price budget costing chinese food. The beef is sour tasting. Bring back the orininal owner and make it great again. Seriously did you think we wouldnt notice the difference in quality. Well we did! Fix it.

I've been ordering from Magic Wok for the last 15 years, and have always loved to food. Ordered tonight and everything was just off. After looking over the recent reviews it looks like there are new owners. The sweet and sour chicken was actually pork (could happen to anyone), the other food was just mediocre at best. The pork fried rice was bland. The boneless ribs were a little dry. We will not be returning again. Sorry, but you shouldn't have messed with a good thing. The service was prompt and friendly and I wish them luck in the future.

me & my bf go here all the time and we love it!! beef is always good and they are very gracious with sauce and rice! haven’t had a bad meal from here! would totally recommend (and that’s coming from a picky eater) they have a nice staff & it’s not too pricey!
Best Chinese food in Hillsborough! We've been going here for a long time and the food is consistently very good. They only have 2 tables, so take-out is the way to go. Prices are very reasonable!

I've been there many times and the place is super busy so you may wait I never order anything that's real intricate for them to make I order simple stuff tell me Hunan shrimp pork fried rice spare ribs usually the food is priced less than anybody else around the quality of the food seems very good for takeout Chinese you got to remember this is not gourmet food not bad food for the money my best advice to you keep it simple when you order there some stuff when you're busy takes too long to prepare anyway the girl there speaks hardly any English and I can't understand when she talks but the the gentleman behind the stove is English is very good the food is good 1050 for a combination meal is very fairly priced everybody else is 12-15 for the same meal I recommend going there and you might wait 15 minutes 20 minutes even if you call they are very busy because your food is good and your prices are cheap bottom line if you expecting gourmet food I would not go there and

This use to be the best Chinese food in town. Ever since the new owner came in and changed everything it's been a real disappointment. The rice sucks and the egg rolls are horrible. 2 of the best things they had are now 2 of the worst. Probably never going back. It's a shame because I really loved this place ever since I was a kid. Not worth your time or money. Go anywhere else.

It's hit or miss with this place. Sometimes the food is made well sometimes under cooked/tough. Don't bother ordering from doordash cause someone there can't read. I ordered spring rolls and one order is missing the other is shrimp. This has happened numerous times!!!. I hate shrimp! Imagine if I had a shellfish allergy. You could've killed me but who cares right? Waste of money! It's from doordash so of course no one will bring me my correct order. It's 10pm and I'm stuck sharing my son's food with him because of this. Hit or miss if you call or pick up. Don't waste your time doing doordash cause the order is never right!

I have been coming here for over 5 years. Liked their Hot and Sour soup. The new owners have changed the recipe. There is no longer the pork shavings. The soup base is more vinegar than spicy. Maybe too much Chinjiang Vinegar? It just doesn't taste the same. Why would they deviate from the recipe that was probably shared with them. I didn't get much black fungus either. I guess its time go back making it homemade.
