I agree with Chloe about the rude staff. My friend who lives in Hoboken said I had to come to his side of the river to eat the best Italian food in the world and how impossible it is to get a reservation. Tiny hole in the wall place with zero atmosphere. And for red sauce food I can confidently say I make better at home. Pimply faced kid server was so rude when I asked does the chicken parm (average and not pounded thin btw) come with pasta? Her comment was 'have you ever eaten in a restaurant before?' Beyond disrespectful to a customer paying all cash for whatever food. And yes Rude One, plenty of good restaurants don't give pasta with their dishes so have you ever eaten in a real restaurant before or traveled outside of NJ? I'll be staying home in Manhattan and going to Rao's or Il Mulino where at least they have a smile on their face when picking your pocket for red sauce Italian. I'm sure the owners and wait staff at 'Augostealos' don't care about any of these reviews cause enough suckers believe the hype about this joint. Never again.Parking: NA

Totally overrated. Not good Italian food and I am from Italy. They charged extra for aglio olio. Fish got me sick. With all the great spots in NY and NJ this is definitely a no go.

Amazing Italian restaurant with arguably the best francese dishes in the city.Edit: came a second time, they have the best muscles white wine sauce I've ever had.
My wife and I absolutely love this restaurant. Best un Hoboken. You need to make a reservation for sure and it's cash only. You will NOT be disappointed.

Took a train ride into Hoboken to walk around. Made a reservation here a couple days prior (must have a reservation and cash only). This was our first time at this establishment and it was superb. My dad had stuffed artichoke which he is still talking about. The linguine with clam sauce and lasagna special were outrageously good. The staff is pleasant, friendly and courteous. Will definitely be visiting again.

Great italian food, rude staff. I've been to this restaurant several times and the food never disappoints, but my recent experience here will make it my last. The main lady running the restaurant was rude, and hurried us up to finish our food because regulars were waiting for a seat. She was rude in her demeanor and made everone uncomfortable. The couple waiting was mortified by her behavior and they kept apologizing to my friend and I.

This place is amazing - very delicious food, very nice ambience and vibe. It is quite small so you should make a reservation in advance - walk ins can be difficult simply because there isn’t much space. The food is absolutely amazing - definitely check it out!

Excellent food , warm familiar service , cozy feel spot. Scungili salad well done , eggplant rollitini w prosciutto , Pork chop was breaded and cooked to perfection , country chicken had a perfect amount of heat , icebox cake ( yes please ) , and a sensible bottle of Gattinarra. I need to come to Hoboken more often.
