Of course it's about the view. Gorgeous setting. And mediocre food. I went with a group and sat outside, the service was terribly slow. Bonus points for the wait staff recognizing the temps were dropping rapidly and repositioned us inside. Most of us got pizza. My friend had pooled oil on his pizza, needed napkins just to sop it up. Mine fortunately didn't have that but taste was just ok, not really good. We won't be back.

Well well well....where do I begin. Got here excited to spend my birthday and got called a nword by staff. Once I place my order for my eye, see it arrived unseasoned to my distaste. After I gave the waiter, my order of the penny a vodka pizza, he proceeded to spit in my food and shit in it. Afterwards I bought the cheapest bottle of wine, smashed it over his head and pushed out by security. Enjoyable part of this restaurant was being able to beat the shit out of the staff. And the free bread.

I recently visited Blue Eyes Restaurant and had a mixed experience. Upon seating and ordering drinks, we were informed that over half of the menu was unavailable. The dishes were presented poorly and the portion sizes were small. Unfortunately, the pasta lacked flavor and seemed overpriced given the overall quality. On a positive note, the staff were polite and provided prompt attention. However, due to the issues with the food, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

The lasgna was very delicious, the meat I ordered was too fat, they didn't leave a dressing for the salad or sauce for the meat, they didn't give the option to solve the customer's request, I WILL NOT RETURN!

Its a bit glum here because it's set up like an old diner but the food is the closest thing to old authentic Italian food that I've visited. And try the Nutella cappuccino, absolutely to die for.

I ordered the Salmon. It was fine, but nothing special. My companions ordered lasagna and pasta/shrimp. Again, it was all just "ok." Pros: 1) Great view right on the Hudson River overlooking the NYC skyline 2) Super convenient if visiting Stevens Institute of Technology 3) Delicious tiramisu for dessert 4) Service was ok -- fast delivery of food. They seemed a little overwhelmed because of a private party going on. Cons: 1) Food (except for tiramisu) was just "ok." 2) Food, for that price, should be better than "ok." 3) My tiny espresso cup was half-empty for $3.

Small portions, barely there drinks with small flute sized glasses. Overpriced. View is stunning. If this restaurant were located anywhere else it would not exist.

Service and view is amazing, staff is super helpful and attentive. The food is just OK-- not bad but not great either.Ordered the bronzino and they served it with iceberg lettuce unfortunately.

I don't know about the rest, but I recommend the pizza and I say this as an Italian, or rather from Campania, you can say: the real Italian pizza in America!

Blue Eyes has definitely gone downhill in recent years. It was not busy yet we waited 35+ minutes for our food, which then came out cold. When we sent it back to be warmed up, it took another 25 minutes after I got. up to speak to our waiter twice. Finally, the portion sizes were small. In a town with so many great Italian restaurants, Blue Eyes fails to deliver. We will not return.
