Had a private party. Servers and bartender went above and beyond for marissa and Anthony's engagement party! Thank you very much!

Went for brunch today and left today at (2:30pm. It was nice that they set us down quickly, however, the wait to have someone take our order was a lot but we understood since they seemed busy. Yet, it took almost a whole hour to get the food. No one came to touch with us, or offered more drink or at least reassure us the food was coming. We hoped the food was worth the wait (because of the reviews) but it was whatever. we were starving and needed to eat at this point. Huevos rancheros was more of melted cheese on a plate. My husband asked for a steak and eggs which he clearly said over easy but not only were the eggs sunny side up but it was raw. Mind you we couldn’t complaint because once our food came out no one came to do a table touch. We were lucky we still had water left to not chock on our food. Bussers were running around like loose chicken and waiters no where to be found . We also figured if we complained we were going to have to wait another 40min for properly cooked eggs. Once we started to eat and my husband finished plate they just picked up the empty plate and the host came and asked if everything was okay which I responded it alright, she didn’t even care to ask why or what happened and just ask if she can bring us the check, my husband was still eating the pancakes we order and I was still working on my breakfast and haven’t even touch my pancakes. Very uncalled for and disturbing. We understand there was a big group of people waiting for the table but it’s not our fault the kitchen took forever with our food. Horrible experience will never come back to waste our money at this place, even it was for free. For those who think this place has amazing there was way better restaurants in Hoboken and elsewhere.

Came here a couple times, once for a brunch and more recently an event in a rented room. We had one bartender for 20 of us which worked out well. The drinks were poured heavy which was much appreciated. However, the appetizers were a bit lack luster. They were necessary but nothing I would go out of my way to order. We had full control of the music and the bathroom was close by. Overall it was a good time.

I attended a big open bar party this month and was very disappointed by how city bistro ran the event. They did not have a system for counting the amount of people that drank. Many people at the party did not drink, but were charged anyways. It is not right for an establishment to make a mistake of not counting and then place the payment on the customer. Especially for a group of students. I would not recommend hosting a party here.

I attended a large open bar party at your venue a few weeks ago and was deeply disappointed. The event suffered from organizational lapses, including a failure to count attendees or distinguish between those who drank and those who didn’t. The absence of wristbands and a mid-event bartender switch raised concerns about the accuracy of the billing process. Despite assuring the host that only drinkers would be charged, there was an overcharge both for the number of attendees and those who consumed beverages. This disorganization and apparent fraudulence, combined with the subpar food, have led me to the decision that I will not be returning to your establishment.

Hosted party here on the second floor with the open bar and they didn’t use wristbands or anything to keep track of who drank. Essentially they charged me for 10 extra people ($500) and only refunded me for 2 people when I called them the next day. Nice atmosphere and drinks but was really disappointed in the lack of organization and will not be going here again.

I attended a large open bar party here a few weeks ago, and they overcharged the host $400. They did not count the number of people in attendance, did not count who was drinking/ who was not (due to religious reasons), did not hand out wristbands, and also switched out the bartender midway (which made us realize they would not be counting the number of attendees/ number of people drinking. They told the host that only those who drank would be charged, however overcharged the host both for the number of attendees and for the number of persons who drank. I will NOT be returning here- they are disorganized and fraudulent! It upsets me that we trust restaurants to host a big event on an important and momentful day, and they take advantage of us in this way. There should be a method in which they track who drinks/ who attends, and they should be truthful about their overcharging the host. Additionally the food was not that tasty!!!

Went to my friends birthday party there where she opted for the open bar. It was suppose to be $50/person, but only if they were drinking. Was surprised when I got there that no one carded me or gave me a wristband to help keep track. They also switched the bartender mid-party, so there's no way they could keep track on who was drinking and who wasn't. They overcharged her $500 and only refunded $100. Would only recommend if you want to get ripped off. Plenty of other places in Hoboken that offer the same service and are more organized.

Went to a party there this month. They said it's 50 bucks per person for boozing, right? Well, 12 of us didn't drink 'cause of religious reasons. The bar didn't have any way to keep tabs on who was sippin' or not—no wristbands or nothing! Then, they switched bartenders halfway through, and it was a total mess. They only marked down 4 non-drinkers, so they ripped us off 400 bucks! Seriously, don't even think about throwing a party there unless you're cool with getting screwed over ????

Attended a party there earlier this month. We were only supposed to be charged $50 per drinking person. 12 individuals of our party did not drink for religious/cultural reasons. The bar did not have any system to monitor individuals who were drinking (i.e wrist bands). They changed bartenders half way through, so the staff further lost track of who was/was not drinking. They only recorded 4 individuals as not drinking, so we were over charged $400 for this event. Do not host an event here unless you want to get ripped off.
