Wonderful ambience and delicious food. We all enjoyed our meals. The dining room has such character. Would have loved a gluten-free option for the sandwich menu, but had the veggie burger without the bun and it was great!

One of my favorite restaurants in Hoboken, I've been going here for years and the food is always great and consistent! love the old school vibe here too. definitely order the fries if you get the chance they're so good

One of my favorite Reuben's around Hoboken was even good as takeout, also a must try is their French onion soup !

By far one of the more disappointing dining experiences I've had. I don't think we actually had a severe. The manager or whoever she was came over to our table about 15 minutes after we had sat down and took our order. We didn't get on of our entrees and no one ever came back over to check on things. We order 2 soups and didn't get any spoons and never came across anyone to give us what we needed. No apology and no nice words to justify the terrible service. Our food was cold and bland. I'm a former restaurant worker for over a decade and this experience was not it. We waited to pay for a long time to pay. Bad experience all around. I hope it gets better over here but I won't be back to check it out

Great for families. I just wish the tables were larger! Come here on Tuesdays for kid specials.

A Hoboken staple. The food is always good. Drinks are great. A great place to bring people from out of town. Kid friendly. I always enjoy my time at Elysian!

Kid-friendliness: I think on Tuesdays kids eat free.

From the moment we walked in to Elysian, we were hooked. The historic decor/architecture inside really set a fun atmosphere. As we were admiring the walls and ceilings the manager approached us and started telling us some of the history. He was as nice and as friendly as could be. He highly recommended the poutine and it did not disappoint. All of the other food we ordered was delicious and the other wait staff was nice and friendly as well.If you want delicious food for a good price in a old style restaurant with an authentic atmosphere and friendly people, then this is the place you're looking for.

French onion soup, chicken sandwich and the impossible burger were tasty. Fries were the standout. Unfortunately the service was really disappointing. The waitress never came by to check on us after the food arrived. We had to go up to order more fries and also to get the check.

Great brunch place! We have been there on multiple occasions as large group, couple, family with young kids and always have a great experience. The owner is very accommodating and the food is delicious.

Went here for dinner a couple nights ago and it was the best food I’ve had in a while. We got the mussels and poutine as appetizers, the mussels are a must get, very well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The skirt steak was my favorite, the chicken and gnocchi were also good. All of the food tasted fresh and well made, the staff were friendly and the overall interior was cozy and inviting.

I've always really enjoyed the Elysian and their food. Although I've had many things on the menu, my favorite is their caesar salad with anchovies. The service is always friendly and fast. I'm giving 4 starts only because I wish the ownership did more to update the place to keep up with the booming restaurant market. Not so much the food but the space and vibe of the place? That said, the Elysian is a solid place for most occasions and I'll definitely be back.

Elysian is always solid. Good food, great atmosphere/history, actually works well for little ones (early dinner). Reserve an early time slot for dinner, sit in the back away from the bar, get a high chair, beer, and you're good to go. Great burgers, sandwiches, entrees.

Delicious food (the quiche was amazing), cool atmosphere, good service and reasonable prices.

The duck poutine is 10/10.. however recommend eating in house as it doesn't not travel well
