Farside Tavern has pretty much everything you'd want from a sports bar. First of all, they have a whole bunch of different TV screens all around, showing all the local sports teams and covering all games currently going on. Secondly, the service is great. On the topic of the TVs, I could see that the moment a game ended, one of the workers would immediately change the channel to another game. Aside from this though, our bartender (Valerie) and the manager were both super friendly and attentive. They clearly wanted to make sure we were taken care of and enjoying our experience. The place has a lively vibe with a great upbeat music selection without it being too loud to talk to others. It was fairly busy when we went on a Saturday night but I still didn't feel like it was really crowded or anything. There is a good amount of seating both at the bar and at tables elsewhere. As for the food, I got the boneless wings, which were 10 for $14 (decent deal). I tried some with parmesan garlic on it, which were fine but not great as they were slightly dry. However, I also tried some with the BBQ sauce and those were great - nicely crispy, moist, and much better than the others. The fries were also decent. To drink, I got an Orange Crush cocktail ($15), which is great if you like fruity drinks. This one basically just tasted like orange juice with some vodka in it (but it wasn't strong). My friend tried a bunch of other drinks and said that he was very impressed with all the cocktails that he got. Overall, with a great lively environment, all the local sports games showing on the many TVs, friendly service, and good food / drinks, Farside Tavern is the place to go in Hoboken for a good time out with friends or even if you're just trying to watch your favorite team play while enjoying some good vibes.

The perfect local bar for any night of the week — great atmosphere, solid food, fair prices. Also run by a neighborhood-caring owner who was kind enough to give me a free Guinness glass after I’d broken the one in my apartment.

Fun outdoor backyard area to sit and got the brisket and pulled pork sandwiches. Delicious! The fries were also perfect- crispy and thin, just how we like them.

Great bar! I booked the back patio area for a private event and the staff went out of their way to make sure we had the best time.

All my friends and I paid $55 for an open bar, we order 4 drinks that apparently were not included. The bartender also, did not realize they were not included. Once we finished our drinks the bartender proceeded to demand $50 for the drinks with the threat of kicking us out 30 minutes into our night.

I need to comment on how horrible the service is at this "restaurant". When we arrived we were not greeted or welcomed like you would expect(especially how dead it was). The food is so so, very inconsistent and we had to send back a few items. The cocktails we ordered were overly sweet and also inconsistent(perhaps not properly trained with cocktails?) which made the extremely high price not worth it.The bartender behind the bar was also not attentive, at least to new people. Seems like the few regulars got all the good service & over pours(Though I overheard this is the owners gf).I won't be back to this establishment as I prefer to be treated fairly and want consistent/tasteful food and cocktails.

The location was nice. Not too busy and there was still seats available inside and out.Bar member made me a nice cosmo and my other half had a beer. This was my first visit to New Jersey and I really liked the ambience.

Went here on a Saturday and waited 20 minutes at the bar before getting served. There was one bartender working the whole bar and she was not in a hurry to serve everyone. Worse, however, is that a well drink (tequila soda) was $13 and a plain Diet Coke was $5. I understand prices are increasing but that is absurd, especially for a soda for someone dd-ing
