I have lived in Hoboken for more than 25 years and have to say that my dinner at La Boheme was the best meal I’ve had in Hoboken. Excellent menu. Fantastic staff. Missed having Omar or Lisa being there to provide that extra special touch they give at Barbès.The appetizers, main courses and desserts were GREAT!Will definitely go back in the near future ❤️

My friend and I went to La Bohème on a Friday evening around 7:30pm. It was the end of the dinner rush, so I would recommend making a reservation during peak dining hours. However, we got lucky and got seated immediately. When I saw the $$$, I expected someplace on the fancier side, but the price points are not that bad. Also, it was extremely dark and loud in the restaurant, which definitely does not go with the upscale vibes. Fortunately, my friend and I were seated toward the door and we both speak loudly, but I would not recommend going at a busy time if you require a more intimate setting. A minor note that their bathrooms were a bit dingy and did not match an upscale vibe at all.We both got the salmon special ($29), which is pretty much their salmon entree, but instead of mashed potatoes, the potatoes are encrusting the salmon. I was wowed by the flavors of the dish. My one critique would be that the salmon could've used a touch more moisture, but it was very close to perfection. I didn't enjoy the saffron sauce, but the veggies and the salmon were flavored so well, I didn't need to use the sauce. I liked the lighter feeling of the potato preparation, and each bite was very balanced!Service was outstanding. The host did many check-backs, and we always felt like we were being attended to. There was one point where he mentioned our dishes would be out shortly, and they were not. However, he came back and apologized for the message and gave us an updated eta. It really felt like they valued us being there, and it was an overall pleasant experience.

We attended a sixtieth birthday party, and the food and catering were fantastic–the staff was so attentive to each and everyone, even remembering what drinks they had ordered previously. The decor is lovely, and each dish was delicious.

Very friendly staff and nice atmosphere. The soup a la course was delicious. The meat of the burger was cooked to my taste. The French fries were crunchy outside and tasty. The salad and the tomatoes on the burger were a little too watery.I'll go back for the diner menu as it sounds fantastic.

I came here as a surprise birthday dinner with my fiancé and cousin. It was a smaller restaurant, but a total gem. Firstly, the aesthetic was great, good vibes and great interior decor. Then the people who worked there were very nice and attentive. Lastly, the food was really really good! Their pizza oven was awesome to see but even more awesome to taste the pizza that comes out of it! We had gotten one gluten free and one regular pie. The gluten free pizza was delicious and not dense. They said the regular pizza was really good, they got the white one with truffle oil, which definitely elevated the pizza. We all enjoyed our entrees and we also got some cocktails. Everything was really good, furthermore it was the best espresso martini we’ve had in a while!! Highly recommend!!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free pizza for up-charge
Food Poisoning - Lack of Management CareAt the start of January, my fiancé and I went to dinner here and ordered escargot, pizza, soup, and entree. Our waitress was amazing. My fiancé is allergic to snails so only I ate the escargot. That night around 1am I was violently ill- throwing up and had terrible pain in my stomach the rest of the night. This was severe food poisoning. I then looked on the reviews here and found that one month earlier someone else had food poisoning from the snails. A clear lack of regard for safety of their customers.My fiancé reached out to their instagram to alert them of it to protect future clients and no action. I called the restaurant and they refused to call me back for weeks. When I finally got in contact with the manager, they told me they didn't believe me and asked why I didn't have proof or a doctors note. At that point, I wanted a refund for not only getting sick but also terrible lack of care. For the last month they have said they would issue it and still nothing.
