This was our last chance to eat at the uptown location since it was closing at the end of the day. It's always been wonderful and this brunch with my lovely wife was just as great. We will see you downtown soon.

This is a Cuban restaurant with nice decor, friendly and attentive staff and great food. Prices are reasonable for location and for serving portions which are quite large, in my opinion. Coffee is amazing (Cuban Latte), Stuffed French Toast was really good with the combination of guava and cream cheese filling. Cuban sandwich is on point. We also tried the omelette with sweet plantain and manchego cheese but it was not as savory as expected. The Figtini cocktail was amazing if you like drinks on the sweet side.

Maybe I was unlucky, but I ordered the pork and couldn't eat it as it was so salty. My wife had the fish and enjoyed it. Good service and seemed like a good restaurant. I will try again

I ordered the churrasco skirt steak, with a side of plantains and beans. When the plate arrived, nothing was hot, it was all between cold and lukewarm, so I sent it back to be reheated. When it returned, most of the chimichurri had been wiped off the top of the meat, so I asked for some extra. And they actually charged me $1.50 for it. That was pretty much the last straw. Even though it was warm this time, it wasn't a great piece of meat, the plantains were just average, and the beans were more soup than beans. We won't be back.

Was not welcome at all, worst experience ever, Walked in with my wife and my son and I felt ignored, more than ignored because they did see me waiting for a host but I had to approach them and even then one of the host told me sorry no tables and gave me a look, after I asked him are you sure he looked at me and said come back at 10:30pm… one start it’s all I can get but definitely a ZERO star.. I felt discriminated

Had a girls brunch for birthday. Food was great, staff was very friendly and attentive . Cuba-chino - delicious, the brunch bowl - fantastic, Tres-Leches- hit the right spot. My friends also had really good things to say about this place. I would def come here again if I am in the neighborhood

Service was horrendous tonight. Took close 30 mins to get seated for our reservation. I understand it's Valentine's Day but the hostess seemed to be causing mass confusion. Some couples that arrived for there reservation before us were somehow seated after us. Dinner itself was not much better. Took 15 mins to order drinks, and food was overall underwhelming. When we got the check the bill had an extra drink to top off the experience. Couples around us seemed to be having a similar experience. Will probably not go back.

We passed by and had to go in and taste their food. Excellent! the Cuban sandwiches were authentic and the Pastelito as well. I felt like at home, the manager and servers were friendly and welcoming. Great spot to eat!

Friendly service, excellent food that introduces you to Cuban cuisine’s unique dishes, and lightning fast service. We will be back.

Taste was solid I’ll give it that but the price you pay for isn’t worth it. The tostaditas would be appetizing enough if you have the appetite of a hamster. Regret the $12 spent for some shredded chicken on three tortilla chips. Pass

Good place to get together.. food is good (not great)... service is fair (not good)... and they play music in the background (not good and not loud). It bothered me to be tacked a 22.4% "gratuity" to then be presented with a "tip" line... without even advising me or printing it in the menu... the "bellini" is not a real bellini but a chemical concoction. The coffee is mediocre. food is decent (the original La Isla downtown is better)...

After reading all the reviews of how long they make people wait. I still decided to make an 8:30 reservation because I was really excited to try this restaurant out since it’s walking distance from my apartment and the pictures online look great! I arrived at 8:30 with 4 of my friends and they were full and told us we had to wait 20-25 minutes. I was annoyed we had to wait so long when we had a reservation already but still decided to wait. 30 minutes go by and the host tells us that there are still no tables and that she has no idea when a table is going to become available and if we wanted to sit at the bar instead to eat. After waiting 30 minutes they decided to tell us they don’t even know when and if we were going to get a table. Absolutely RIDICULOUS. I should have listened to the reviews of all the people that have had a similar experiences. Don’t waste your time here. Host did not care and they clearly don’t care either. DON’T TAKE RESERVATIONS IF YOU CANT FIT PEOPLE. Had to end up leaving and went to another restaurant that sat us right away with no reservation.

Loved this place! I rather come to the original spot on 104 Washinton St than their sister site, La Isla Uptown. I find the vibe to be more authentic, and food just tastes better here! No matter what you order, your tastes buds will thank you. My go-to order tends to be Huevos Rancheros and Stuffed French Toast. Please don't forget to get your Café con Leche (clarito=light) with toast on the side!! I've been lucky to dine here for over 10 years. Even though I have moved since, I always make a point to come back and visit my little Isla with their amazing staff!!

Beautiful ambiance, great bar scene, and tasty food and drinks. I was sad to see my favorite salad missing from the menu and the chicken garlic and spinach dish had barley any spinach compared to what it usually comes with but everything we had was delicious overall.

Overall my partner and I had a great experience. The food was delicious, the ambiance was beautiful and the service was great. The bartender even came up to our table before we left to ask how our drinks were. We ordered guacamole, the Cubano sandwich, and espresso martinis; all were amazing. It can get a little pricy but definitely a great date night spot!
