I don’t know what’s the deal with this place. It shows open on Google Maps and also takes online orders. However when I made the trip to pick up my order it isn’t even open or having even one light on. Now I need to chase after the ordering platform and get my money back??! Don’t take orders when you’re closed!!!

Had an incredible time at Metropolis! The atmosphere was fun, the food was great, and the best part was that really took a care of us. Highly recommend their cocktails, lots of effort are put into them and on top they’re delicious!

I’m not sure what this place wants to be. We had a glass of wine. Tasted like it had been opened for over a day. The selection is pretty limited anyway but I don’t drink hard liquor. We had the tuna tartare and it was missing some sort of acid. The cilantro sauce with it did not match and didn’t deliver the type of balance this dish desperately needs. The tuna itself was frozen, which to me isn’t the worst sin, but it is definitely dyed. We saw another couple had a smores drink with a burning marshmallow. And while I can’t speak to the taste, I would not enjoy burnt marshmallow as a garnish (maybe graham crackers crumbs or shaved chocolate??). The place is very cute though and the bartender and hostess were very nice.

I would've loved to give this place 4 stars but it's definitely closer to 3.5 stars for overall experience. Being the sister restaurant of Belo Bar I expected a lot more out of the drinks. The food I would say is 4 stars. The drinks are closer to 2 stars - slightly above a dive bar (sorry!). We started with the hot and dirty martini (one with vodka and one with gin) and a spicy margarita. All 3 drinks were awfully balanced. Super heavy on the gin and vodka to the point where you can't even enjoy it and they definitely weren't hot or spicy. While the margarita which was supposed to be spicy had a floral taste to it both times and was also not spicy. For appetizers we had the crispy calamari which was a 10/10 the sauce was delicious!! We also had the burrata flatbread which was a 6/10 nothing special and a little weird with corn as a topping. For dinner we tried the short ribs (8/10), grilled hanger steak (6/10), and white wine mussels (8/10 - you can find them listed under appetizers). The short ribs were super tender and delicious but we wished there wasn't so much sauce saturating the dish and flavor. The hanger steak was decent but the potatoes were a little weird at first until you take a couple of bites! The mussels were perfectly cooked! For dessert we had the bread pudding (10/10) which was absolutely delicious. Points for the restaurant offering us a promo to enjoy a free dessert if we reviewed them we love that perk!! We also tried the s'mores espresso martini which did not at all taste anything like s'mores it was basically an espresso martini with a marshmallow (3/10) we were super disappointed by this. Overall, we'll definitely will try this place again but hoping they figure out their bartending issues. It's definitely not on Belo Bars level at all. Hoping next time the drinks are better! Shout out to our server she was definitely great and everything came out pretty quickly! We didn't make a reservation but there's plenty of space to walk in and grab a table!

It's a small cozy place and we were seated in what would be sunroom or outdoor space upon arrival. It was heated for winter. Felt a tad bit hot at times when the heat bursted but I think server reduced it. For drinks we ordered lychee martini but it tasted more like lemon than lychee. For appetizer ordered spinach and artichoke dip which pita chips. It was decent in tasting but it was missing the cheese pull for me. For entree, tried the mushroom flatbread and chicken sandwich for which both were good and flavorful. I wish the appetizer came out before entires as everything came out at once. To wrap up the night we got the salted caramel espresso martini which was delicious! The service was great and we were check on frequently.

Nice spot for drinks and eats. Excellent service. Our server was very personable and attentive. The white wine mussels are delicious. The burrata flatbread was tasty, but it comes with corn on it which I found to be a little odd and unnecessary. The strong martinis will bring me back.

Food was amazing! The place and ambiance are so cute. But, the service puts it over the top. Truly top notch. Staff is extremely nice and attentive. Just a great experience overall.

This bar used to be great - since the "renovation" it seems to have lost its charm. Being one of the only rooftop bars in Hoboken, it has lots of potential but is overall lackluster. You're better off going to the surrounding restaurants/bars. After going to two separate floors' bars to attempt to get a drink, it ended up taking 40 minutes...and the cocktails were tough to finish. Stick to canned drinks as the bartenders seemed untrained or at least very inexperienced.

The meal was amazing. One of the best crab cakes I've had in a long time. The staff was also so attentive. We had a great experience and didn't even see the roof top yet! Short ribs were also really great.

Very Poor & Disrespectful Managment.Constantly understaffed. The food menu is GIVING OVERPRICED typical Classic American Diner options. This place is only good for a drink , a great meeting point for drugs and annoying house edm.The rooftop is the only reason to go.
