Night cap on date night

Fun bar, great food, good mix of music, awesome staff... A Hoboken nightlife staple, and they have a disco ball!

Damn! USED to be my favorite burger. First time back in a couple years after moving out of Hoboken and am sad to say I see a noticeable decline in the burger. Change in bun the most obvious culprit (was brioche if I remember correctly now potato roll). Bun quashed down to paper this which I hate. Burger didn't have that flattop char I remember either. Not a bad burger by any means but very run of the mill now.

Just tried this place tonight and was a bit disappointed. I had the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. The chicken was paper thin, to the point that you really couldn't taste the chicken. It was the same with my Daughters Cajun Chicken Sandwich. For $15.50 per sandwich, I would expect a decent piece of chicken. Service was ok. Friendly yet pretty slow. Not sure I would ever try again.

Was great for some casual eats and its a fun bar atmosphere. I would recommend the burgers over the crabcake sandwich.

Awesome! Franks go to bar in the neighborhood. Service is spectacular! Everything you want is here! Great cocktails and fun environment!!!

Onieal's is our absolute favorite burger in Hoboken. They never disappoint when it comes to cooking our burgers perfectly and their house-cut fries taste super fresh! Now they've even upgraded their buns to potato rolls which is a huge bonus for us personally. This time we even tried the chicken finger appetizer which was delicious including their amazing honey mustard. To note: the bar area can get kind of loud/rowdy especially on game days (it is a bar after all). But don't let that deter you if you'd like a quieter area they have both outdoor seating and an additional back room which are both less noisy. The service is always decent but their servers are definitely stretched a little thin. This will always be one of our favorite neighborhood go to spots!

Best burgers in town. The Turkey club is also amazing. The staff is so nice, and always willing to make accommodations. Great place for wine with friends, date night, or casual time with the family. They have a disco ball, live music, and great outdoor seating. Their martinis are amazing, $8 wine night. And get vodka sauce on the chicken parm or mozzarella sticks.

The food is good and the place is casual and comfortable. Service is okay. I had to ask for a glass for my beer and when I eventually got one the glass was warm like it had just been washed. Not the best temperature for beer. The server was friendly but other than filling a water glass he didn't ask us if we needed anything or how the food was, which is unusual.

I've been a regular here for a while now but the service has been so bad lately that I think I'm done. I would have given 1 star after the way I've been treated by 1 person in particular, but aside from him it's been ok. I'm fed up now, though, so I'll be getting burgers from somewhere else.

I have been coming here for years. At one point almost weekly. But today is the last day. They were extra extra slow. Every table was waiting drinks and food for way longer than reasonable. Management needs to hire more servers. When I said that to the server, he laughed at me. Ok, we are never coming back nor will we recommend this place. They get one star because I cannot submit the review without it.

One of the worst services I've ever experienced... crazy how they have 4 stars. The rude server def ruins the restaurant's rep.

See a lot of complaining about the typically stuff, i.e. a bad experience or something wrong with their orders. Others praising good food and unique old timey bar feel. The main takeaway from Oneal's is it's ridiculously overpriced for what it is. I live a few doors down and would be a regular, but nearly $20 on every entree for something that's marginally better than pub food is a tough sell, even in this inflation environment. The portions are also very small, so they do not compensate for the premium pricing whatsoever. Whenever I eat here, I almost always regret it and look for something more to eat afterward. That said, it's a good place to grab a beer, listen to some live music, and catch a game (although I wouldn't make it a go-to for sports given the TV situation is not the best). Cool looking spot, but better in theory than practice.

This place is such a gem. Not only is the vibe so comfy and inviting, but it's got a really cute bar and dining area so it's the best of both worlds. The food?? Amazing, the calamari was so fresh and the burgers were to die for. Can't wait to give this one another visit and try their penne vodka!

Always an amazing trip here - switched it up from my usual burger, which is considered by locals as the best in the area, and went for their chicken sandwich and always amazing fried mozzarella. Sadly disappointed in the chicken sandwich. For the price you're getting one thin chicken cutlet (that was very dry and rubbery) with an actually good buffalo sauce that saved this from being 3 stars. The fried mozzarella is a winner and should always be your starter if you love cheese. I'll be returning but for the burgers only.
