Fish options were pretty decent for $100 bougie sushi option. The only problem was that the sushi was skinnier than most that I have tried. The rice was such a tiny portion. I've tried so many omakase, between higher-end ones to cheaper options like this, that this definitely stood out to me. Each piece was also given pretty quickly which, honestly, I was happy about but also very different from the others where you kind of savored each piece and enjoyed the process of the chef creating each piece. Each piece was pretty good, nonetheless. Nothing super special but if you want a quick omakase, this is an easy option. The staff was great, drinks were good. We'll be back to check this place out again.

We truly enjoyed every bite and the delicious custom cocktails they make. The chefs are amazing and personable, they make the experience just top tier. Thank you for offering such an amazing experience Steven had a wonderful birthday because of sushi by bou and their team!

What can I say about this place ?? I discovered it around 2019 ... (the Jersey city location) and have been a fan ever since! The staff is so attentive (Anthony, Daniel, Ryan .. ) just to name a few ... to all your needs... I can't say enough fabulous things about the place, staff, quality of food and the great vibe you get while dining there .. it's an experience!!! If you're a sushi snob and love the element of surprise in every dish .. make your reso ASAP ❤️ Lisa

The food is fresh and a good deal, but some of the pieces can be so overtaken by their sauces and toppings. For instance, we had sea bream topped with onion puree and all we tasted was onion. The ones that are kept more simple are much better. At the end of our tasting, our chef apologized that he didn't have time to make anything extra and we were rushed out to pay our bill so the next seating could start. We were originally seated a few (maybe 6 or 7 mins) late, which is no big deal, because the last group ran over time ordering extras, so why did we not have that same courtesy? My boyfriend had to go get a burger on the way home from 7th street burger bc he was still hungry and was so disappointed we weren't able to order extras. It was a bad ending to a good night.

Eating at Sushi by Bou is consistently an incredible experience. Everyone on staff is fun, professional, and kind. The menu changes just enough to keep it interesting but not so much that I'm missing out on my favorite things, and I have never had a piece of sushi that I didn't like here. Also, the cocktails are super unique and delicious! Cannot recommend enough for sushi lovers or anyone looking for a special night out!

Such a fun experience if you love quality sushi and 90s vibes. Chef Andy served an Omakase meal that fancied our tastebuds. Cocktails were incredible. They were very accommodating even on a busy day like Valentine's Day. A longer dining session is all I can ask for. Otherwise, great time. (Get the Big Mac roll!!)

Sushi Bou, especially the Hoboken location, is where I go when I want to treat myself to excellent food, service and vibes. Everyone on the team is so committed to you having a great experience. Shout outs always to Anthony and Andy, and props to Diana for making me a great (not too sweet!) old-fashioned!

Truly truly love this place. The food and drinks were of course amazing. What really surprised me was the service. My group had a few restrictions and Anthony really worked with me to make sure my group still had an amazing experience. Anthony, Daniel and Chef Lee did everything possible to make sure we really enjoyed our dinning experience. Cannot thank them enough for everything!!

The bI at sushi I've ever had on the East coast. Only thing that's ever beat it was a Michelin rated restaurant in LA. This was fantastic food, great drinks, and great atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!

10/10 experience 10/10 food Sushi by Bou brings the nostalgia of hibachi for us millennials with the craze of sushi! The experience is fun yet intimate. Our sushi chef Sean was so friendly and interactive. We were greeted by the staff and promptly offered drinks. They made you feel at home from the moment you walked in. The set up was casual but celebratory! We were sat promptly according to our reservation. The menu was explained to us as well as the interactive experience. It was so fun! The sushi was delicious and some of the freshest I have ever had. I will not be able to have "regular" sushi now. Whether it's for a celebration or just a night out it is worth it! So much fun!

My husband and I love omakase and Sushi by Bou is the best of the best. It's a small spot (inside the W Hotel in Hoboken), so making a reservation is a must. Every time we visit Sushi by Bou, the staff is so friendly and goes above and beyond to make it a memorable experience. They offer two packages; The Bougie Omakase is $100 per person (that's what we do, a little pricier than the $60 standard package) and comes with 17 courses, a hand roll, and a small glass of sake. In comparison, the standard is 12 courses (same amount of time - 60 minutes). The sushi chefs are always incredibly friendly, and the fish is so fresh. We also love that the menu changes, so it is always a new experience! Last night, our favorites included the miso cod, striped jack, striped bass, and fatty tuna. Can't recommend it enough!
