“The Beacon was so accommodating since I planned my entire wedding dinner within a month. I needed as few headaches as possible. Edna coordinated everything! The staff was very polite and attentive. Everyone LOVED the food and atmosphere. I will be coming in regularly to try the other dishes on the menu and maybe a little line dancing.“

“A great find on 517 My Wife and I were riding to Newton yesterday and passed the Lenape Lodge. We have passed by numerous times and figured we would stop in. This was the best thing we have done in along time. The place is cute inside with plenty of friendly regulars inside. We started with the Buffalo wings (bone in ) of course and they were excellent with a great Blue Cheese and celery accompaniment. Next we both had the steamers , a generous portion in a sauce worthy of the garlic bread that was served with it. Loaded with flavors, ready to be soaked up with the breaded. A regular told me to try the mussels and they were fabulous as well. Black mussels in a green sauce excellent. My Wife ordered the Grill Blackened Salmon and it was to die for. My wife and I are both food snobs as we come from families that are in the food business all prime and top of their class. The bartenders were friendly and the Chef is fantastic. I saw large burgers come out with homemade potato chips on the plate as well as other fabulous looking meals. Friends have been in for the ala carte brunch and thoroughly enjoyed it.Before we left we met with one of the owners Mindy McQuaid and were filled in on Taco Tuesdays and some of the specials as well. Tim & Mindy McQuaid are both working hard at this business post covid to be on top. They hoping to get approvals for a deck outside over looking Lake Lenape soon. “Been multiple times in the last few months. Food has been consistently good to great. Friendly service. Would highly recommend the onion soup, burger, pork chop, fried chicken and pasta bolognese. Onion soup is among the best I’ve had. Just wish they hadn’t opted for what my son calls the “tin can” chairs. Just aren’t comfortable.“

“I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS BAR. The food was amazing. I tried all the sauces and there wasn’t one I didn’t like. The drinks were made exactly as I desired which led me to a great night! The door was open and a breeze flew through, which just added to the refreshing atmosphere. The bathroom was so customized and clean. The bartender was so nice, and respectful. There was lots of seating outside where you can eat, and /or enjoy your drinks as well. They also have a lot of events that go on there, and Friday’s is ladies night!! Highly recommend:)“

“First time coming here for dinner with the family to celebrate my birthday on St. Patrick’s day! Food was excellent. My fiancé is born and raised British and she absolutely loved the bangers and mash! The chicken schnitzel was delicious! Atmosphere inside was fun and relaxing. Bag pipe player walking around. “Went for our 16th anniversary and did not disappoint. Service in bar was top notch. Our server for dinner, Devin went over menu, specials and drink specials along with making several personal recommendations. Every recommendation he made was spot on. From the limited time Valentine’s Day drinks to the appetizer to the main courses. He was very knowledgeable about the menu in general and took the time to answer any and all questions. I had the New York strip steak with foie gras add on. Wife had Scottish salmon. We went with the delmonico potatoes and Brussels sprouts for sides. Simple yet sooooooooooooo good. I’d go back again just for the sides. THEY WERE THAT GOOD! My steak was perfect (possibly best I’ve ever had) and my wife loved her salmon. We will for sure be back again. “Brian is a gem, great service and Drinks. Some of the other should take tips from him, not as good but overall service and food is very good. There should be uniformity in cooking, for example the pastrami sloppy joe has been in 2 pcs ,grilled and other times it's 3 pcs toasted, other times it's not grilled or tosted and served sandwich style, 2 pcs. White bread!! Great food and drinks overall, no matter how it's served.
