First time trying The Beacon. The bartender who took my order was fabulous, the food not so much. I ordered fettuccine with mussels in a white wine, herbs and garlic.(I requested extra) sauce. The mussels were plentiful and sweet. The fettuccine did not have any flavor except for butter and a little wine. Very disappointed.

The location is great and the interior of the restaurant is very nice.The food was basic - nothing special or memorable. We were looking for a casual but nice meal as they advertisedWe had mussels, they were fine but a bit bland. We have had far better elsewhere for same price point. Nothing specialBurgers - they were fine Portion size was small. Again nothing memorable that would motivate me to want to returnDrinks - were good no issuesBartender was awful , we sat at the bar and he was lacking in being personable and professional- he greeted us with a cigarette tucked behind his ear. He had a vape in his hand which he tried to conceal. He was taking hits from his vape when he didn’t have an order to fill. Very unprofessional. That would not happen at Stone Water or the Windlass or Alice’s. Just classlessIf you advertise yourself as fine dining you should deliver that - even casual food can be elevated by the experience you create. This place is like a diner with a viewWould not return

Really awesome food. The chef is very gifted. She does a wonderful job of bringing delight to your palate. Highly recommended. You will not be disappointed. Service is great and everyone is friendly.

On vacation nearby & visited the Beacon on several occasions over last few weeks for drinks & food. Delicious, particularly recommend crab dip, seafood flatbread & burgers.Really enjoyed the live music and trivia night!Can’t wait to visit during the warmer months and spend time on the deck.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free catered for.

Unfortunately once again the food and service was terrible. No one in my party enjoyed their meals, and for this somewhat upscale place all of the meals looked like diner food at best. I even had to send a drink back.. I ordered Woodford neat. It was not Woodford. I don't care what they may respond to here saying it was Woodford and they would never switch out liquors it WASN'T. All in all just another restaurant on the lake that doesn't need to have good food because of its location.

The Beacon was so accommodating since I planned my entire wedding dinner within a month. I needed as few headaches as possible. Edna coordinated everything! The staff was very polite and attentive. Everyone LOVED the food and atmosphere. I will be coming in regularly to try the other dishes on the menu and maybe a little line dancing.

I’m happy that they have Line Dancing there once a month however, I’m not super thrilled that the kitchen is closed early. However, the bartender last night was kind enough to ask the kitchen if I can have guacamole and chips. And I thought that was very nice of her. Chris is an excellent bartender!

We held a Sussex County Association of Realtors Committee event here last night and I can’t say enough great things about this spot. Food was amazing, drinks were creative and delicious and everyone who hadn’t been there before said how beautiful it was inside. Impeccable service and Edna was amazing to work with. We have had nothing but positive feedback from all attendees and we HIGHLY recommend this spot for any event you may want to have. 5 stars for sure!
