I could have sworn I did a review for Red Rose here in Howell, but evidently I didn't-- so here it is--- I love that I can buy my favorite Italian cookies here by the pound and not have to drive all the way to Rockland Bakery, like I do for my bread every two weeks. My MIL really enjoys the strawberry cake here, it's not overly sweet and the med size cake lasts her about a week. Sh is 93, and it's important to her, that she has something special to serve her visitors, when she makes them coffee. What makes her happy, makes me happy. They do have other cakes, but this is the one I purchase most often along with cookies. stop in, the staff is really nice and friendly.

Never again! Today, I purchased a mini mocha cake and two apple turnovers. The mocha cake had a long black hair entwined in the frosting, and the apple turnovers, which looked promising, had barely any filing. One and a half slices of apple, to be exact. Completely disappointed!

Decent bakery for the area. My only recommendation is that customers should be able to have ‘Happy birthday’ written on a cake or at least a sticker that says it placed on the cake… when I bought a cake today, the girl behind the counter said they don’t do that.

I'm not really sure they know what they're doing. The bread comes from NY but they claim baked "Fresh" ? I'm not sure who came up with that idea. I'd had their cookies and pastries years ago in their Toms River location, and I can say, I don't know what happened to the quality between there and now. It's a shame.

Can only comment on the cakes/ cupcakes I have bought from here. But- they are so good!! The cake is super soft and delicious. The icing is light and also delicious and not overly sweet. I have shown their baker a photo of what I would like & they have delivered each time! Thanks so much.

Cupcakes were just ok. Had a few other little bites. Nothing knocked my socks off. Underwelmed. Little pricey, but so is all food right not. Staff was pleasant and quick.

Sorry the place never has a lot of pastries no sugar free cookies hardly any pastries Sunday they had no pastries at all
We ordered a red velvet cake for my sons college graduation. And usually by the time cake is served a few people will have it and you are left with more than half a cake. This was Not the case, we only have a few slices left. Well it was the best red velvet cake I have ever had and the cream cheese was absolutely delicious. everyone was asking about it and where we got it from. Thank you so much !! We will be back for all of our parties.

We have searched high and low for a couple of years to find a decent bakery since there are NONE in our area. We ordered a cake from here for an event and it was the best tasting cake we've had in years. Whipped cream was light and fluffy and cake extremely moist. We found a bakery finally!

So good!! I'm usually a delicious orchards person when it comes to pastries but they've really gone downhill in quality in recent years, so I think I've found my new favorite pastry place. I also got an apple turnover not pictured, which was super yummy. I'm very picky about the icing on top of pastries and it was delicious. The prices are really cheap too compared to what I would pay at D.O. The store was clean and well organized, and the employee was really sweet and helpful. Will definitely be coming back here before I move away.

Very disappointed on a custom cake…both the chocolate cake, icing and filling were tasteless. Tastes and looks like the ordinary cakes you can buy at groceries.
