Very good Chinese food! Ordered chicken fried rice, veggie lo mein General Tao’s chicken and chicken & broccoli. Everything had a great flavor and was hot when it came to us. Definitely will be ordering from here again.

I've been on the hunt for decent Chinese food for quite some time. Well, I finally found our new place! We never ordered from Rice Bowl before so we decided to try to large selection of food...chicken wings, wonton soup, egg rolls, beef with broccoli, bbq spare ribs, shrimp dumplings, mei fun, and shrimp in garlic sauce. It was delicious! I'm so happy to have found a Chinese restaurant that we enjoy!

I like Rice Bowl...decent Chinese/Thai food menu in Iselin, on Gill Lane. I enjoy their green and red curries, pineapple fried rice w/ chicken and their warm fried donuts. Good menu variety and service. Okay to eat there, but I usually pick-up.

The food from this restaurant is always good, don't be afraid to try different dishes that you haven't tried, they will be delicious, most places overcooked egg food young, from here it is excellent, i even order it with seafood and love it.

Was driving back from Metropark and wanted to pick up some Chinese food takeaway for dinner while I watched the games tonight. Planned on visiting my go to place when I saw online they had raised their prices yet again. That's when I spotted Rice Bowl in an unassuming strip mall and decided to give it a shot. Upon entering it is spacious enough to dine in as there are multiple tables, but this seems primarily a take out place. Prices on the menu were very reasonable which was welcome but tempered my expectations. I ordered two dinner combinations: General Tao's Chicken and Mongolian Beef. Each combo was less than $10. The portion size and quality of food actually exceeded my expectations and I was pleasantly surprised. The General Tsos was white meat chicken that was juicy and the sauce was not too sweet. The dish was kind of a cross between GT and sweet and sour chicken but was tasty nonetheless. The fried rice was fresh and well seasoned and the roast pork chunks were moist and tasted good. The egg roll was decently sized, and was not overly greasy. The Mongolian beef was also pretty well executed. The beef was juicy, the vegetables tender crisp and the sauce had a little kick. Overall the food and the portions for the price was impressive. Now I'm the type of person that puts food quality, taste, and value way over anything else. I'll admit this place is not much to look at, and certainly would benefit from an update. The woman at the counter was not overly talkative or friendly, but her service was polite, respectful, efficient, and accurate. If this keeps their price point down and maintains quality , portions, and taste, I'm good with that. Rice Bowl is definitely joining my list of Chinese food options in the area. Give them a try and see if you feel the same.
