“Placed an order with them last Saturday. Was running late to pick it up and they were so accommodating. I've been eating chicken holiday chicken most of my life and no matter what location it always turns out great. This was the first time I ordered from this location and wasn't disappointed. I would definitely go back.“
“This is my go to place when I want some fried fish. They have whitenings,my favorite. Their food is excellently seasoned And they have some great macaroni salad and potato salad. They have a variety of dessert cakes and also a small ice cream counter. They have chicken, burgers, Jamaican patties, and a whole bunch of other things. And the prices are very reasonable. I've enjoyed everything that I've purchased from New York Fried Chicken.The guys there are friendly and engaging to the customers. The service is the best.Parking: The parking lot is not that large but there is parking I say between 10 to 20 spaces.Wheelchair accessibility: There's no stairs so a wheelchair could easily get in and out. And the guys that work there are courteous enough that I believe they would help anybody having difficulty get in or out of the restaurant that's just how they are.“

“This location at Freehold Raceway Mall is an absolute joy. The manager Sue is so efficient and is always so kind and friendly. I think the chicken sandwiches and fries are the best of any fast food place. My order is always correct and is bagged up and ready in no time. When Sue is working she remembers what kind of sauces I like and I always see her saying hello to all the regulars. You don't get amazing service like that at many fast food places. I can't wait to try the new blackened chicken sandwich I saw an ad for. Next time!“

“I'm going to have to be honest: yes, the fried chicken can be delicious, but getting from Chicken Town on a near-weekly basis albeit only short-term shows the inconsistency of the kitchen. We've had two experiences with undercooked chicken that we had to continue cooking in the oven, as well as a fried exterior that tasted either like old oil or oddly overcooked past its smoke point. This was on three visits out of ten-plus. There's not much to the interior either, as this is suited more so to takeout. The ribs can be tasty, and the crinkle-cut fries are memorable and addictive. To be frank the fries alone pushed this review to four stars despite the inconsistency. The fried chicken is very good as well, and the entire meal is suited to a fried cheat meal with the entire family's preference of sides and appetizers. It isn't the best I've had, the chicken pieces aren't all as large as expected and the breading is crispy even if it isn't the most flavorful dredge. There are also no creative hot sauces or pairings. The owner does let us substitute some sides in the value meals, which is convenient. It can still be really, really good fried chicken with satisfying sides. For a local spot I can look forward to a Chicken Town meal, even if I have to advise that the chicken should be double checked. There are better chicken chains and values to be had, but I still wouldn't hesitate to try Chicken Town again in my own town.“
“Best fried chicken place in Howell and Jackson area. Friendly people and service. Other items we frequently order are Fried Cauliflower and curly fries.I usually get the ribs extra saucy but as with most chicken places, they are hit or miss with being consistent with how soft or chewy the rib meat is. Sometimes they get dried out. Good sauce though. Decent for a ‘non-rib’ place.The longevity of this place obviously shows you they know what they are doing and have a following.Give them a try next time you are in the mood for fried chicken.Better than the fast food chicken options and you will be helping a ‘mom and pop’ local business too.“
