I knew I did a review back in 2014 and we started going in 2011, but we ended up getting to go back after COVID and coming back to the city. It's everything I remember, it is the hype, it is amazing and it remains one of the coolest dinner experiences in the US, still. Amazing staff, amazing people, amazing food and concept. An absolute treasure.

WEAR YOUR STRETCHY PANTS. The food never ends. It is family style and small plates, but a million small plates will stuff you to the top! Half way through the meal, you're encouraged to check out the house and back yard, we were SO impressed that all this food was being pumped out by a typical house kitchen. We were convinced there was an industrial kitchen in the basement. Parking wasn't bad for us, but I do see how it can be tough depending on the day. It is pricey, So be prepared. The experience is what is factored into the price. Some plates were hit or miss, but I do think it is a nice place to see for yourself.

Waited a year for reservationsThey were accommodating to dietary restrictions which is a plus.Food was 6/10 at best but not worth the price paid.Top it all off with the fact I got food poisoning from one of the fish, meatball, or polenta. The one server with long hair made 3 different condescending comments towards myself and my fiance while we were sitting down at dinner.Lastly, they tried to dupe at least 3 tables into paying more than what the bill should have been by adding money to the final total on the bill that was not a part of the dinner fee itself or taxes. Also was told it was $100 per person upon reservation and wound up being charged $105, no biggie, but just poor practice. 100% Cannot suggest enough to take your money elsewhere.

Service good. No sub dish for allergy courses. This was confirmed at reservation and again at seating. Long reservation for at best mediocre catered food. I'd say it is the most overrated place so far. Price at 100 plus gratuity per head is not worth it. Go to Hoboken for real Italian dishes.

Ambiance was great. I really wanted to like this place. It really felt like home. But the food was not to mine or my husbands liking. I don't think we are hard to please. We both love food. I enjoyed the lemon pasta and the polenta. So out of 5 or 6 courses, I liked 2. For $100 a plate and no menu choices, I just expected better. Beware of the breadsticks, you might chip a tooth.

Not sure why this place requires one year reservation Food is Italian Diner food Basically cheap ingredients - one meat course Chicken No bread and butter No antipasti Save your money which is way overpriced - estimate 50 dollar food cost for Our 800 dollar bill

This place exceeds any expectations. The atmosphere is so homey and warm and welcoming. It's perfect for a date or for a special celebration. The wait staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. We had a few people with dietary restrictions and they were able to accommodate. My advice when coming here is to come hungry and don't eat too much of one thing. You will love everything and want to have multiple servings of everything. But if you do that, it's hard to make it to the end. Pace, not a race. Now the food. Wow. Wow. Wow. The first course could have been a perfect meal on its own. The stuffed peppers, the roasted garlic, the eggplant parm...it was all to die for. Nothing was bland. Everything was fresh, served warm, and got better with each bite. There were so many dishes that I will just highlight a few. The manicotti was perfection. The pasta was so light and delicate that it was like eating a cloud filled with ricotta. The lemon pasta was outstanding but my one criticism is that it could have used just a touch of salt via some more Parmesan cheese. The shrimp dish was perfectly cooked and the salad served in the bread bowl was incredible. The tomatoes were so fresh and the dressing was light and flavorful. The polenta. Holy cow. It was so buttery and creamy and the Arrabiata sauce had just a touch of spice to it. And last highlight was the butternut squash. It was sweet and tender and made my husband who doesn't like vegetables a butternut squash fan. Save room for the dessert, especially the cannoli filled pastry with fig. Overall, the flavors were some of the best Italian I have ever had outside of my grandmother's kitchen. If you can go to this place, do it. You won't regret it.

My review is specific to my phone calls with Mary Lou. I've seen so much hype about this place but I can't get past my experience trying to make a reservation. Mary Lou has been extremely rude to me on two occasions. I simply asked a few questions about the experience and making a reservation and was even happy to take a date a year out if needed. Her attitude towards what 15 Fox Place has become is so negative I can't believe it's still operating. I will not call back again and feel this place can't be worth it.

I literally waited MONTHS for my reservation date- crazy day of flooding but dinner at 15 Fox Place made it all ok! From the moment we walked in, it truly felt like we were being welcomed by family. The food was delicious- we kept trying to decide what our favorite course was- but it was so fun that each person in our group enjoyed something different the most. Come with an open mind to try so many things, and make sure you come with an empty belly- because you will leave “Thanksgiving” full. Dining amongst the family treasures, photos and decor makes it feel like you’re at a family member’s home. Each course was delicious- the chef came out to say hello- and the ladies who took care of us were simply the best of JC. I’ll be calling a Monday to make another reservation. Maybe I’ll be hungry again by the time we can get in! BYOB- but they have soda and coffee available.

I’d like to start by saying how excited I was to finally get a reservation at 15 Fox Pl. After seeing all the reviews I made a reservation and was called back to pick a day/time. During the call my contact information was obtained and I was all set for a party of 4. I called two weeks prior to confirm my reservation and left a voicemail with my number. When I showed up for my reservation I was told we couldn’t be seated for dinner in front of my whole party. This was very embarrassing and I couldn’t believe how unaccommodating they were! They were able to sit half of our party and the other half went home. Apologies were made but I still can’t wrap my head around the fact that they said they tried calling me and I didn’t receive a call. I understand mix ups happen but some ownership here would have been nice. So after all of the confusion my date and I decided to stay and try this establishment regardless of the mix up. We drove a long way and have to say after all that it really wasn’t worth the hype. The portions were smaller than expected and the coffee was watered down and gross. I left unsatisfied and my evening with my friend was ruined.

Terrible experience with reservation and after reading the owner’s nasty responses leaves a nastier taste in my mouth. If “we’re not for everyone” I guess you mean people who value their time and expect decent food. Lol stay away
