OwOwnern has been baking bread since he was in diapers. Remember from Hoboken back in the days '80s late '90s

Did I just find the best eggplant parm Sandwhich in JC?! Stopped in here for a few baguettes and noticed they sell eggplant Parm sandwiches. It took 15 minutes to get mine but WOW. They prepared it fresh and baked it in the coal oven on fresh baked bread…unreal. Highly recommend. Ask them to scoop the bread.

3 stars because bread is good.Terrible counter person. Bought a long roll and a sandwhich roll. Asked for it to be sliced for a sandwhich and made the motion with my hand. She threw it in the bread slicer. When I explained again that i wanted it for a sanswhich she said nothing grabbed another roll cut it and charged me again.

I've been there many times and I've always loved the food there, especially the fresh mozzarella, but this time when I went, and for 10$ of mozzarella, and she would not sell it to. It's a cash only business and that's all I had on me but the woman behind the counter said she needed more money she wanted 12$ but I had no more cash, so I left and may never return.

Had the munchies and stopped by Pecoraro Antique Bakery. Although the name is fancy, it's not fancy at all. It looks like a run-of-the-mill corner deli, with freshly baked bread and cookies on the shelves, cookies by the box from $5 -$14+, a fridge with sodas and various beverages, a coffee machine, and a deli fridge with fresh veggies and cold cuts for the sandwiches. They have a breakfast and lunch menu that offers fresh-cut sandwiches with all the trimmings. Premade sandwiches range between $6 - $7 and freshly made cold or hot sandwiches cost between $8 - $10.We got the prosciutto hero for $9, which she prepared right in front of us, which was hefty with meat and big enough to feed 2. And everything tasted good. My only complaint was that the bread on both sandwiches was a bit chewy. So, not sure how fresh they were. One good bonus is that all the basic add-ons like lettuce, tomatoes, and onions are free, they dont nickel and dime you. Premium toppings like sun-dried tomatoes and peppers only bump you up $1 more. The service was good, we were served by a nice Hispanic lady. This bakery only accepts cash. But they have an ATM on site so you don't have to take a walk.If you're hungry and looking for a good quality sandwich at a reasonable price on Grove St, go to Pecoraro!

Absolutely love Antique Bakery and the customer service. Annalisa, Mehdi, and James are soooo cool to us. Granted we’ve been there 3 or 4 times but from the first time they have provided a great experience from the jump. They knew exactly what a Hugo Speriz was and as always they make the best food. The food is top notch with natural ingredients from the menu.

The soppressata and mozzarella sandwich is so good and a steal at $9! Cash only so keep that in mind.

The remnants of the old bakery that occupied the building are still there and make for an interesting atmosphere augmented by the more recently installed items. We were there for brunch which had many interesting offerings. The eggs Benedict, steak and eggs, spaghetti squash carbonara and lasagna edges were all unique and well prepared. The service was mostly inattentive especially considering the it was the end of the brunch service and the restaurant was not full. The one BIG negative was the noise level. We unfortunately were seated in the very back near the open kitchen. The wait staff seemed to vie for who could shout out the loudest to the cooks. Very annoying. So if you go try to get a table in the middle away from the kitchen and noisy bar scene.

There are not enough accolades to describe the quality bread that this 130-year-old brick oven produces ... Don't overlook this antique jem

I'm not a big fan of sandwiches. HOWEVER. The mozzarella and capocollo was incredible! A foot-long sandwich, coffee for less than $10. Pictured is only half of the sandwich, of course.

Ordered a sub sandwich with real mozzarella the old school way with ham and salami on real Italian bread baked right there in the premises. So happy I went there. Took it wrapped in butcher paper again, the old school way. Walked half a block, sat down on a street bench under a shade tree and enjoyed a moment of zen. The sandwich was great too!!!
