Pretty good banana pudding. Ordered the ube flavor and it was great!

Haven't been to the actual location, but writing about their bread pudding I had at smorgasburg in JC. I got the lychee rose topped with dried coconut and chocopuffs, and it was smooth, cold and creamy. As echoed in other reviews, typically banana pudding is super sweet (think magnolia), but the pudding at baonanas was incredibly mild. There were chunks of lychee (? throughout. The portion size is on the smaller size for the price, but i suppose it's to be expected for such an artisnal desert.

I was really excited to try this place but there was like an eyebrow hair or eyelash like thing in my pudding which was super disappointing.Additionally I paid cash and they told me after taking the cash that they don't carry change so I ended up paying 50 cents extra which would've been fine if they had stated that somewhere. That was slightly annoying but I'm more so disappointed with the hair in my pudding

Didn't like it to be honest. I found there was just too much going on and the texture was off putting to me - it was like oatmeal texture with random stuff in it rather than a smooth banana pudding. Also, I didn't think the flavors went together well at all. That being said, I also don't like Magnolia banana pudding because I find it to be too thick and sweet. If you want a really amazing, light and fluffy and not too sweet banana pudding type of dessert, check out the banana cream pie at Sarge's deli - now THAT is spectacular.

was looking for a different kind of dessert and stumbled upon this little shop located in the building at harborside jersey city. the soft ice cream i got was lychee rose with ube bits. not so sweet (which is my taste preference). definitely recommend this if you are looking for ice cream with a different taste

Great banana puddings and good variety. We've only had take outs and will be interested in visiting the actual location.

I've had baonanas at some local coffee shops in and around JC, but I finally got around to visiting one of their stores. I tried the ube banana pudding which was very creamy and fresh, and the ube flavor was a bright addition to the pudding.I am definitely obsessed with this place and will be returning to either their HQ or their Manhattan location in the future!

Tried their OG flavor and loved it! Light, creamy, not too sweet, and full of banana flavor.

Went to the East village location. Cute spot with great service. The staff was very friendly and the banana pudding was delicious. Great flavor and just the right amount of sweetness. I would definitely go again.

I was so excited to try Baonanas, but it is very difficult to find and then enter the building that it's in! It's located in Harborside building, which has many entrances, and you can only enter through one of the doors. On top of that, it's only opened on weekends when there is not much traffic going through the building, so very hard to tell where to go unless other customers are exiting/entering. However, it's worth the trouble to find the right entrance! Baonanas offers several fun banana pudding flavors including matcha, black sesame, and ube. They also have a good variety of toppings to choose from as well. I personally tried the ube and strawberry matcha. The consistency was wonderful and it was very lightly sweet. Unfortunately, I couldn't taste the ube and matcha flavors that much, but I didn't mind because it was still a yummy treat. I would come back and try other flavors!

i've loved baonanas ever since ive tried it back in high school! but this location needs to be better staffed because one kid working is not enough. i waited about 10-15 minutes when i was the 3rd person on line. the kid was sweet but just very slow. the serving size is also not as big as i remembered it. for the same size, i could have gotten a lot more at magnolia's bakery in new york. the only difference between baonanas and magnolia's is the fact that baonanas has more different flavors and they do allow you to sample their flavors which i like. overall, still love their different flavors, just wish the staff was faster and that they give a little bit more for the price point that they have.

Great place for your sweet tooth! Selection was great, they have the usual suspects like cookies and cream, vanilla and chocolate, but I suggest you try their Ube. Went on a cold saturday evening and almost all except two place are open, Baonanas and a Ramen place. I guess they were the only ones doing great.

Just tried this brand new pudding spot in the east village \\u0026 They have the most amazing, decadent vegan banana pudding I’ve ever tasted! A wonderful friendly staff. Also met the owner and he made my experience fantastic ?

Love going here because the food court is always empty and never a wait time. Pudding is really good and the staff is nice. What more to say than the wide variety of toppings & not as expensive for pudding lovers<3
