A wonderful cafe very close to Hamilton Park. My family and I have enjoyed countless weekend meals here. We really enjoy the food, the coffee, and the friendly service. I encourage everyone to support this local business!

This literal "corner coffee shop" is a gem in Jersey City. We found it around the corner from our Air BnB on our second day in the city...and wish we would have found it on day one! The employees were extremely kind and accommodating of our request for plant-based options. They have four or five options for non-dairy bases to coffee drinks and smoothies. We both got the avocado toast (one of us on bread and the other on a bagel) and the food was amazing.Dietary restrictions: Basic has four or five non-dairy options for their coffee drinks. There also are a couple breakfast sandwiches that can be made without dairy or meat.

This neighborhood coffee shop is a small yet ambitious store with its varied selection of savory menu items and sweet snacks. Besides staples like burgers, wraps and avocado toast, you can get Udon soup and quesadillas! I tried the Basic burger and it was cooked perfectly. It was delicious and satisfying.I can’t emphasize enough how clean it’s been each time I visited. The staff at Basic are so friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. I will definitely be returning in the future.
