I used to love Bonchon in NYC, but after a visit to the Jersey City location last Sunday I don't think I'll go back to any of its stores again. There are many other Korean fried chicken joints nowadays. This location is run down and didn't smell great. Lots of duct tape patching the many tears in the bench seating and the tables and fixtures looked dirty and old. The japchae was too sweet and noodles a little gummy. The 5 piece spicy fried drumsticks lacked taste. I wonder if they forgot to sauce them. Paying over $30 at a fast food chain for 2 menu items that was ok and didn't taste fantastic is a deal breaker.

I specifically ordered 10 spicy and 20 soy garlic and they messed it up and gave me the opposite. On top of that they lied about it that they gave me the right order. Tried calling but of course no pick up. I will never go back to this location.

Never gone in person however have ordered often via Uber eats. Always on time and always fresh and tasty! Considering the price point, it's always a nice go to place to order from when it's been a long day and you just don't have it in you to run to the store and make dinner yourself. Some favorites include the kfc spicy of course, bulgogi, takoyaki.

I don't always give bad reviews, when I do, they are really bad. The plain chicken wings literally has no flavor, I had to sprinkle some salt and pepper on it. The soy garlic is wayyyy to salty.

Worst f****** place. Why don't you update your hours? Website says 8:30pm and in person says 8pm. No stars. Don't pick up the phone when I call. I placed an order for 7:45pm and when I called at 7:40 nobody wanted to pick up.

Love the lunch specials from this restaurant, portions are large and the chicken is very tasty! I'd say I like this fried chicken better than almost any other for how crispy it is, the soy garlic sauce is a must-try. Definitely one of the best food deals you can get in the Grove Street area at lunchtime.

I like the food worth the price, as a business owner my self I find it selfish an greedy that you can spend 40-50$ plus an you don't get no sauce as complementary. The fact they make the sauce an it cost them few cents an someone can spend 50$ an can't get no sauce bad vibes

Always order delivery from here whenever I'm craving for fried chicken and needed a break from diet and stressful work! Wish they have 15 wings options for take out though, that would be the perfect amount for two persons

Ordered delivery on Sun Jan 23rd and got bad food poisoning from the 20 piece chicken strip to the point where I had to call out of work the next day trying to recover. Chicken was dry and the batter seemed overcooked. I will not be ordering from here again after this experience.

They changed their chicken breast strips to garbage dry chicken tenders that don't even seem to be prepared in the same bonchon method. They seems like breaded garbage with a KFC Nashville hot sauce on them. I couldn't even eat them they were so dry and awful. They offered a refund but I was long gone to worry.
