The food is exquisite. I don't understand why the stars are average. The price is right, the service is fast enough, and the ambiance is low key. What's not to love?

Ate breakfast here today - 2 idlies and one Vada. Was glad to find fresh options at 9 am in the morning - Saturday, Feb 10, 2024. Managed to get a parking spot right there!Idlies were decent, vada could've been better. Sambar was hot but a bit too watery and chutneys - one green and one red were 'so-so'.The morning bhajan music on the sound system would've been sorta ok but it was simply way too loud and off putting. The restroom was surprisingly decently clean - got the keys from the quite friendly owner and was much better than I anticipated. There were a bit too many fruit flies flying around and that was not pleasant, of course.Overall... ok option for a hungry dude :-)

Not a fancy place. I ordered a Masala Dosa and a Mango Lassie. They do a busy take out business as I was there shortly before lunchtime. Despite that, the order didn't take long and the Dosa was awesome. Mango Lassie was full of flavor. Definitely will return.

Got the order 25 minutes later than what was told. Ordered a thali and for parathas we were given ‘kawan parathas’. The lids for the containers were god knows how old, they were completely broken and mixed in daal and subjees.

Yummy and fresh dosas! We had pondicherry masala dosa and palak paneer masala dosa and they were so delicious. There was generous portion of potato filling inside and our dosas came with a bowl of rich sambar. We've been to another dosa place down the road on Newark Ave. many times before and honestly, I think Dosa Hut is better because it's cleaner, portion is more generous (the other place totally started cutting corners on their portions while price stayed the same or might have even gone up,) sambar is more concentrated and flavorful and not watery. We will return!

Quick. Good Masala Dosa. It was almost $14 which is normal these days. Decent amount of chutney Sambar and masala on side.

The worst place to spend your evening to enjoy food. Trust me you won't visit this place again if you visit it once.

Great food. Interior and exterior need to be improved. Looks too old.

I ordered South Indian vegetarian thaali to-go through Uber Eats. Came with rice, papad, rasam, sambhar, daal palak, kesari sweet and yoghurt chutney. This was basic. On top of it, you get to choose 2 veg curries amongst a list of 5. I chose Aloo dal and bhaingan curry. You have a choice between three chappatis or two parathas. I chose chappatis. Food came hot. It was not oily. Spice level was optimal. It was better than it's competitor Sapthagiri - oily, salty and pricier. I ordered Mango Mazza along with the thaali. Really good experience overall that I was busy enjoying and didn't take pics.
