No esta sabroso. The mofongo was dry and flavorless. The rice and beans were oversalted. I ordered the vegetarian mofongo (mofongo sin chicharron) and explained to the waiter that I am vegetarian (have been for 6 years). The mofongo was served to me with a dipping soup, which I later noticed had shredded particles in it. I asked the waiter what the particles were, and he nonchalantly stated that the soup was made from their beef stew and may have small pieces of beef in it. He then asked me if I wanted more. I was livid, but calmly explained that he should not serve meat to vegetarians. He was completely nonplussed and did not even apologize for his mistake. The food and service here are unsatisfactory.Do not dine here.

The rice had no favor and the Mofongo was horrible. I'm still looking for a good puerto rican Restaurant in New Jersey .But the Alcapurrias I would give them 7 out of 10.

Sabroso used to be a 5 star restaurant . When they were on Lincoln St they put heart and soul into their food. After they moved it was still great but over the years they fell off so much the food is disappointing . Their rice is still good but the pernil I could barely eat it it's was so greasy and salty the original recipes have been lost, the baked chicken is bland , the empanadas were barely filled and no better than the ones at the gas station. They change staff constantly . The women who runs the place is never friendly, like not even HELLO which is weird to me because that was not the vibe on Lincoln St. They were warm and welcoming and hooked it up nice you really felt like you was getting a plate of love. They moved on up to a much nicer bigger place but sold out on everything else.

Came here and had Tostones with Bistec encebollado (steak and onions) and a bowl of mixed salad. All was good. Just felt that since the cooking area is not blocked off from the dining area, you go home smelling just like greasy food. But overall not bad.

Good food, rather unique. You will want to come back again. The baked chicken and red beans are delicious. Only problem I have here is, they take there sweet time.
